AfriGEO NETWORK. The AfriGEO initiative, developed within the GEO framework, strengthens the link between the current GEO activities with existing capabilities and initiatives in Africa and provides the necessary framework for countries and organizations to access and leverage ongoing bilateral and multilateral EO-based initiatives across Africa, thereby creating synergies and minimizing duplication for the benefit of the entire continent. AfriGEO addresses the need for strengthened connections between the GEO activities and African activities, and so supports the continuously growing African EO community and the ongoing national and regional programs.
