Red Sea International Airport (RSI) Welcomes First flynas Flight from #Dammam New direct flights connecting the Eastern Province to The Red Sea destination with flynas Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer of one of the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism projects, welcomed today the inaugural flynas flight from Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport to Red Sea International Airport (RSI) marking the launch of the first direct connection from the Eastern Province to The Red Sea destination. Flights will operate twice a week, every Thursday and Saturday, serving both The Red Sea destination and surrounding areas. This new route, alongside existing flights from Riyadh and Jeddah, enhances connectivity between The Red Sea destination and the broader Kingdom. Strategically positioned, RSI lies within a three-hour flight for 250 million people and an eight-hour flight for 85% of the world’s population. Saudi Arabia is going all out to boost its aviation and tourism sector - This week Saudi Arabia’s national airline has placed an order for 105 Airbus airplanes in the largest-ever deal in the country’s aviation history ! The country hopes to attract 150 million tourists per year by 2030, according to its National Tourism Strategy. Saudia Group’s current fleet comprises 93 Airbus and 51 Boeing aircraft, according to its website. The latest deal adds to the group’s existing backlog of Airbus orders of 39 aircraft, the European airplane maker said in a statement. These are truly very exciting times for not only Saudi aviation but also the global tourism industry and those involved are looking forward to even bigger and stronger investments along with anticipation of timely reforms to boost this all important sector which will help significantly in the goals to diversify the economy. #saudi #sauditourism #travelretail #aviation
