Announcing our latest Africa Business Community member! Welcome to Yoseph Getu from yoseph tomato processing factory, Ethiopia. Visit https://bit.ly/3EuIY5W to Join FREE! Company Overview: The project is a tomato processing plant where fresh tomato will be processed to manufacture ready to juice concentrate, ketchup and tomato paste. Tomatoes and tomato products have always been a natural part of human diet. Everyone appreciates their red color and juicy taste. Recent research also indicates that processed tomatoes are good for human health due to a high content of lycopene. Last twenty years have witnessed an explosion of new and refined tomato products. Purées and paste have become major products together with the more classical ketchup, tomato sauce and chili sauces. The tomato processing factory owned by Ato Yoseph Nega is located at Bure town, which has been established as the major agro-processing hub in the region. Due to the government’s focus on irrigation development, the area has got the opportunity to use irrigation from its ample water resources, such as Geray, Koga, Rib, Gumara, Megech and others, which in turn is expected to increase the production of vegetables in this high agricultural potential area of the region. Currently potato, onion, tomato, garlic, shallot, pepper, are among the leading vegetable crops grown in the region. Based on the CSA data in the last 10 years, Alefa, Fogera, Achefer, Jabi Tehinan, Bure, Melawi, and Bashir Dar Zaria Words are the leading vegetable producing areas in the region. Even though, the region has an ample production potential and market access even to the nearby regions and neighboring countries, it had never reaped the opportunity as it would supposed to be. The project is established at Bure Integrated Industrial Park to take advantages of the most important infrastructure, otherwise not available in other areas. A well-located, commercial tomato processing operation focused on continuous production rather than absorbing seasonal harvest gluts can increase incomes over five times for participating smallholder farmers, who comprise 80% of Ethiopia’s workforce. The Ethiopian government has made a commitment to improve farm-to-processor links in the tomato value chain, but no business has yet developed a viable, sustainable model to competitively aggregate, process, package and sell tomato paste. Our model links farmers directly to paste, juice and ketchup production, simultaneously reducing poverty for small holder farmers, who are among the country’s most vulnerable population, and decreasing Ethiopia’s dependence on an imported food product. The project initially focuses on the production of premium quality paste and ketchup from tomato but the production range will expand rapidly. Summarily, the project focuses on: 1. Processing of fresh tomato in to tomato juice, paste and ketchup 2. Establish out grower contract farmers of at least 320 farmers 3. Provide technical as well

Announcing our latest Africa Business Community member! Welcome to Penzya Siatwiinda from YHK AGRIBUSINESS, Zambia. Visit https://bit.ly/3EuIY5W to Join FREE! Company Overview: YHK Agri business is a new private livestock farm located in mwembeshi 60km away from Lusaka town and 5km away from mumbwa road. It is founded by Ms Penzya Siatwiinda and was incorporated in November 2023. The farm currently has 80 pigs and 300 broiler chickens, it operates on a rented land property of about 1 hectare. YHK Agri business is mainly into piggery and will be involved in commercial breeding of pigs and other livestock. We are in the pig farming business because we want to leverage on the vast opportunities available in the livestock farming industry, to contribute our quota in the growing of the Zambian economy, in national food (meat) production, raw materials production for industries and to export agriculture produce from Zambia to other countries e.g. the democratic republic of Congo (DRC) and make profit. The farm is also undertaking poultry business (broiler chickens) as way of sustaining and feeding the pigs, as we all know that for the piggery business to start making adequate profit the pigs needs to be well fed for them to sell at a good price and also for them to reproduce and remain health. Pigs eat 3-4 times a day for them to grow well and it takes at least 5-6 months plus old to be sold at a good price. Hence the need for this poultry to continue sustaining the piggery. The farm is also looking to invest in maize, soya beans and sunflower farming to be able manufacture our own animal feeds and birds feeds. This idea came into plan after serious observation on the rapid growth or expansion of the piggery. The farm initially started with 8 pigs in November 2023 and in the space of 6 months we have 80 pigs. Pigs can give to 10-18 piglets in one pregnancy and that has been our case. And this means the cost of feeding the pigs has gone high hence the need of more income. Secondly the price of animal feed is high due to the drought or poor rain pattern the country has been experiencing and this has greatly affected the supply of animal feed. As YHK agri business we thought of incorporating crop farming using irrigation methods so that the business continues to survive and thrive without excuses. In the nearest future, hopefully within the first five (5) years of officially registering and running the farm, we will start our meat (pork) processing plant and start exporting our products to other parts of the world. Which is why apart from the fact that we have started the operation on a rented land we are looking forward in securing our own land of about 10 hectares for pig breeding and farming on commercial level. We also looking forward in hiring some key employee who will be undergoing training to be able to fit into the ideal picture of the business of the 21st century of livestock breeding workforce that we want to build. Our livestock breedin

The new minister of Agriculture has set a sit down meeting for my project mid November 2024 - Click https://bit.ly/3EuIY5W to connect with this new Opportunity AIDB-019079. Executive Summary Provided by Client: Executive Summary A huge business and job creative opportunity exists in the farming, production and marketing of our indigenous African Sharp Toothed Catfish (Clarias Gariepinus) in South Africa. This freshwater fish is a robust edible protein source which sells well in so many parts of the world. Conditions in South Africa are right in terms of the environment, timing and infrastructure, where the supply and demand can be created needing only the challenge to be taken up and implemented. The originator and acting CEO of AquaAfrica Group Holdings, Robert (Robin) Pike, has invested the past seven year’s involved in-depth research on freshwater aquaculture farming around the world and S.A, specifically our Sharp Toothed catfish. Research has shown opportunity to address South Africa’s food security and serious job shortage problems existing in our country, while adding substantially to South Africa’s export earnings. What makes this project uniquely different from all past attempts is the recognition it can only be achieved on a large scale with control in the supply chain of the main input cost being fish feed, the main value add portion with farming production; and output cost being distribution catered to “BUY LOW > ADD VALUE > SELL HIGH.’’ In order for this venture to achieve true potential, two important factors became clear during the research and development, in that the product had to be exported and we needed to be able to process the fish at the very source with skills at high production levels through to packaging and distribution. The process of this fish and a readily available market is the real difference between the attempts made in the past, and the future recognition that we have real potential to create one of the largest and greatest industries of the decade. The size and the scale of this venture will lead to major exposure, whereby within time, South Africans will become ready and accepting of this product as an alternative consumer source. AquaAfrica Group holdings has sourced the interest of a large foreign investor and fish processing organization not only keen to play its part in South Africa, but where it differs from any world fish processor of its size, it has distribution centres in 12 countries around the world, and its own training institute where its skills transfer will be a huge and invaluable asset, adding shared knowledge and world health accreditations to their package. Their offer is to be a 50/50 partner in the daily management of the fish process plant and a small shareholder in AGHSA. In turn government will be asked partner the process and facilitate towards the foreign relationship; apart from a common support of the NPC planned vision for 2030, as to job creation, food security and th
