✨Empowering Communities through Equity Sequence®✨ Jess’s case study shows how Equity Sequence®, has the potential to take examples of this kind; of concrete change-making—and multiply them to an exponential degree, toward L.A. City’s goal of “bringing people together—across neighborhoods, ethnicities, generations and ages—to be part of the solution” to the City’s challenges, big and small. Her use case highlights a small but powerful example of how, with the right tools, people can help produce concrete changes with meaningful impact. In this case, Equity Sequence® was used to support L.A. City’s drive to increase workplace #inclusion and expand #equity in community and constituent service delivery. ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eyjj8Es7 #diversity #DEI #equitableinnovation

#MeetTheYouth #YouthMonth #YouthofEDP My name is Njabulo Masanabo, I am an intern in the Auditing division at EDP. I have recently developed a passion for ED because it intersects with issues of social justice, equity, and inclusivity. It helps with addressing the differences in income, education, and access to resources promoting fairness and equality. Q: Why do you think Economic Development (ED) is important in the South African context? A: I think Economic Development is important in the South African context because of the country’s history of apartheid, which led to economic differences along racial lines. Economic Development initiatives are crucial for addressing these historical injustices and promoting #inclusive #economic #growth. #YouthSpeak #thefuture #youthmonth

Youth-adult partnerships are a great idea that sometimes becomes lopsided with whom they benefit. Directly involving youth in both existing work and the design and planning of new initiatives is key to creating authentic, inclusive, youth-adult partnerships. Continuously reflecting on the partnership is key to ensuring youth well-being in youth-adult partnerships while ensuring both sides are benefiting from the relationship. #YouthAdult #YouthWellBeing #CollegeStudents
This past academic year, we were happy to have college students, Isanere Nunez and Kellen Zeng, join us as Research Coordinators supporting our initiative, Creating Healing Centered Communities. Over the course of the year, Isanere and Kellen became a part of our larger team - joining staff meetings, collaborating with colleagues across our small organization, leading interviews with youth at member organizations, and more. From the beginning, youth-adult partnership was intentionally centered as we built this internship experience. Cecily Mitchell-Harper, LMSW, our Director of Knowledge & Learning, created a unique, hands-on experience *with* Kellen and Isanere to support their wellbeing in addition to their professional goals. In doing so, their working relationship was able to move from a transactional one to a transformative one. In their end-of-year reflections, Isanere and Kellen shared, "...a true youth-adult partnership involves not just token inclusion, but an authentic integration of perspectives, responsibilities, and trust.” In our latest blog post, Cecily shares more about leveraging youth-adult partnerships in work settings to foster youth wellbeing. Check out the blog for more tips and reflections! https://lnkd.in/dVzmn5Ge

"The Struggle for Survival: Uneducated Families" #Lack of access to quality education perpetuates the cycle of poverty. #Limited awareness about healthcare and sanitation practices leads to preventable illnesses. #Economic opportunities are restricted, trapping families in low-income occupations. #Difficulty in understanding legal rights and accessing justice exacerbates vulnerability. #Challenges in making informed decisions about family planning and child-rearing. #Higher susceptibility to exploitation and manipulation due to lack of knowledge. #Social stigma and discrimination against uneducated individuals further marginalize families. #Limited understanding of environmental issues contributes to unsustainable practices. #Struggle for basic rights and dignified living conditions persists without education as a foundation. #Breaking the cycle requires comprehensive efforts in education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and social inclusion. #Education #internship #learning #Development #DSS #Diamondstaffingsolutions #Growth #Upskilling

🌟Empowering the underprivileged youth is not just a noble cause, but a necessary step towards creating a more equitable society. Here are some steps we can take to make this happen: 1️⃣ Education 📚: Providing quality education is the first step. It's not just about literacy, but also about imparting skills that can help them secure jobs in the future. 2️⃣ Mentorship 🤝: Having a mentor can make a world of difference. Mentors can guide them, inspire them, and help them navigate through life's challenges. 3️⃣ Opportunities 💼: Creating job opportunities and internships for underprivileged youth can give them the experience they need to succeed in their careers. 4️⃣ Health and Wellness 🍎: Ensuring access to healthcare and promoting mental health awareness is crucial. A healthy body and mind are key to personal and professional growth. 5️⃣ Community Support 🏘️: Building strong communities that support and uplift each other can create a nurturing environment for growth and development. 6️⃣ Advocacy 📢: Raising awareness about the issues faced by underprivileged youth can lead to policy changes that benefit them. Let's all do our part in empowering our youth because they are not just our future, but also our present. Together, we can create a world where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. #YouthEmpowerment #Education #Mentorship #Opportunities #HealthAndWellness #CommunitySupport #Advocacy #Equality #SocialJustice #ChangeMakers #FutureLeaders #YouthDevelopment #Inclusion #Diversity #OpportunityForAll #BetterFuture #SocialImpact #CommunityEngagement #YouthLeadership #EmpowermentThroughEducation #HealthcareForAll #MentalHealthAwareness
