No #Bees? No problem! This whole apple tree was pollinated without bees, using #artificial and #mechanized methods. At Washington State University, we made this possible by experimenting at a commercial orchard level Matthew Whiting Changki Mo Manoj Karkee #RoboticPollination #Automation #Robotics

While it's incredible to see advances in artificial pollination for commercial purposes, I believe we shouldn't be promoting 'No Bees, No Problem' as the takeaway message. Instead, research should aim to support and protect natural pollinators, turning 'No Bees?' into 'Yes Bees!' Artificial pollination may work in controlled, commercial settings, but we cannot replicate these methods on a natural scale. A future with healthy ecosystems needs both technological innovation and thriving bee populations.

I hope "No bees? No problem!" is either sarcasm or purely a marketing trick to pull attention to your research. This should not be the purpose of technology of course.
