I attended the annual Toward a More Competitive #Colorado (TMCC) event, hosted by Metro Denver EDC, in the company of my colleagues from our Avison Young office. High-level insights were shared from the 2024 TMCC Report and 2024 Economic Forecast for Metro Denver. Combined, both reports unpack the data highlighting Colorado's ability to compete for corporate attraction and business development. Takeaways include: 🔬 Continued expansion in aerospace, bioscience, and the healthcare industries. 🎒 Colorado maintains a highly educated workforce, yet there are opportunities to cultivate local talent and improve graduation rates. 📈 We're in the preliminary stages of an affordability crunch with home prices in the Denver MSA more than doubling between 2014 and 2022. 🏔 The vibrant lifestyle embedded in Colorado's culture has resulted in a population that surpasses national health standards. 5 days and counting! I was going to bring a lot of different speciments of pests that I have collected from our area. However, I dont think I want to make anyone sick or distressed during my presentation. lol Instead, I am planning on talking about how I am doing things differently in the industry. I will be going over how some of the biggest companies take advantage of their customers using fear tactics over care. How they charge mutliple times and different ways for the same things often. How you can avoid recurring and unnecessary charges for treatments that are just smoke and mirrors. And how you can even do your own pest control yourself for general pests to save 100's a year. I tell people all the time. I am albout Pride over Profits. I'm not doing this to get rich or take advantage of people.
