Our popular MCST sessions for people living with dementia are heading to Hereford! Here are a few reasons why we usually have waiting lists (and it's not because it's just £5 per session): ✅ Sessions take place in a laid-back group setting with others who are living with dementia, exchanging stories and experiences. ✅ We explore stimulating topics that incorporate interests and talents. ✅ Up to 87% of attendees have been able to enhance or sustain their abilities through mini-mental tasks. Contact our team to book a place for you or a loved one https://bit.ly/3RkkHq8 #dementia #dementiawellbeing #dementiaawareness

Thriving in residential care. This is very useful and confirmatory research. Many of us know that people can thrive in residential care despite perceptions and rhetoric to the contrary, usually peddled just to cut costs. Many Providers also know how to ensure quality of life happens, and deliver this brilliantly. Yet, for the same reason, we have such duplicitous rhetoric, 1.6m people cannot get the care they need at all. All elements of the health and care system should be commissioned to meet people's needs properly, as many Providers do, but sadly, that is not what happens, when care is commissioned (or denied) from statutory bodies.
