So, you think the current-generation of AI tech will become AGI by adding more and more data? Perhaps. However, check out how we humans can use incredibly small amounts of data to learn and make decisions. 👇 This is a TED talk that took place 8 years ago - before the current GenAI tech. The AI world still has a LOT more to learn ! The best part of this talk for me starts at the 14:12 mark when Laura outlines 3 big ideas in the field of brain and cognitive sciences and more importantly how humans can do things fundamentally different - learn from small amounts of data, think of altogether new ideas, generate research & discovery, generate art, literature, poetry, and theatre, take care of and heal other humans. As technologists and executives in this space, we need to embrace disciplines outside of the AI sphere to create better and more useful tools and products, that can complement and embrace humans and deal with the messiness (and opportunities) and learning that entails. Ever wondered what your dog is really trying to tell you? I feel like I know my dog pretty well. I suspect most dog owners know when their dog is communicating with them and what they're saying. Researchers from the University of Michigan have embarked on a groundbreaking project to interpret dog barks using AI. By repurposing speech processing technology, scientists have managed to achieve a 70% accuracy rate in decoding canine vocalizations. 🔹AI can determine if a dog is feeling playful or angry. 🔹The system can identify a dog's age, gender, and breed based on its bark. I think this is interesting from a welfare perspective, but most of my dog's communication is non-verbal, as evidenced by this picture. 🤣 I have an extensive library of images and translations. Took a pause here. I’ve been working on kaggle competition, Titanic - Machine Learning from Disaster, which I completed a while ago. I worked on the real life project of predicting the number of survivors from the wreck, using the given datasets. The features I took note of were: Sex, Pclass, Sibsp, parch. From the predictions, I uncovered the pattern that more females survived the shipwreck compared to males. Every image or group of images of an adult is either a paedophile, child killer or a child creep. #EnoughIsEnough With all the "advances" in AI why have we got ZERO AI tools to help detect against grooming. Zero AI tools capable of mass scale child safety in real-time. With all the "advances" in AI, why do we have ZERO AI tools to detect grooming? Zero AI tools capable of mass-scale child safety in real-time. We have nothing. Yet our world gets darker and darker. Police ignore our children's voices, as seen in Telford. I guess child safety isn't "worth it" because there's not enough money in the game! When the next generation is FUCKED and costing the NHS billions in mental health, with no faith in policing or other humans, Britain will be broke. Our children are our investment, so protect them.

Just like in the recent movie “Teri Baaton Ne Kuch Aisa Ulza Jiya”, where the heroine is revealed to be a robot, and no one—including the hero—can tell until the climax… it makes you wonder, doesn’t it? In the film, a virus entering the robot causes chaos and destruction. This raises a big question: Even now, we see the boundaries blurring—artificial intelligence is advancing at such a pace, and we’re also stepping into an era where even an artificial womb is being developed. Imagine that! A future where women may no longer need to carry a pregnancy in their own bodies. It makes you think—are we slowly replacing ourselves? Are we moving towards a world where technology takes over every natural function? How far should we go? Is there a limit we need to set before we lose touch with our humanity and connection to natural processes like pregnancy? The recent invention of NUCA, a camera that uses AI to remove the clothing of a photo’s subject, poses some serious new challenges to combating child exploitation. NUCA was designed by two German artists, hoping to demonstrate the bounds of AI by exploring its worst uses. The technology works by analyzing the appearance of a photo’s subject in order to produce an AI-generated image of what the subject may look like without clothes. The process only takes about 10 seconds and requires no technical knowledge, making the production of these images rather simple. As invasive and harmful as this technology may be to adults, its implications for minors is worth serious consideration as well. Unfortunately, this technology can be used against children just as easily as it could be used against adults. Child predators could easily use NUCA’s technology to engage in sextortion, threatening to release the material they produce with NUCA unless they receive non-AI-generated explicit material from their victims. On its own, the fact that NUCA could be used to produce CSAM (child sexual abuse material) is frightening. That, however, is the reality.
