I've enjoyed every minute of this year's f2f Inbeeo Market Access Summit! Just like when I was global head of market access at UCB, I enjoyed every minute of the PopewoodHeads summit with my friends Marianne Cassidy and Andrew Hobbs. The basic idea - get a dozen functional heads in a room to discuss ANY topic - external or internal - that keeps us up at night (there is no shortage of topics, believe me). Let's face it, the market access job can feel lonely. Having a group of true peers who you can use as a sounding board is invaluable. Today, I had the honour of chairing a panel discussion at the conference we organised on health-related needs as drivers for healthcare policy and innovation.  During the panel discussion, the experts delved into ways of guiding pharmaceutical innovation in order to meet the needs of patients and society within our European healthcare system more effectively. They also discussed the financial landscape of pharmaceutical research and development, identifying obstacles and suggesting tactics to adopt a more needs-driven approach. This conference marks another crucial step ahead as we keep working together on this very important topic.
