Time for change? Things change... quickly... and particularly in #digitalhealth. I recently checked back on a number of presentations I made in 2018/2019. - In 2018, at the digital health world congress, I presented a list of European countries leading the digital health revolution. The UK, Scandinavian countries and Holland featured but France? The revolution was only just beginning and now France has arguably become the leading player in digital health in Europe. It's a demonstration of effective country-wide strategy and there is more to come: https://lnkd.in/dkTEvCPn - The UK healthcare market has changed considerably in recent years. Post pandemic, NHS waiting lists have grown uncomfortably but VCs have "bought up dozens of UK healthcare companies including ambulance fleets, eye-care clinics and diagnostics businesses over the past two years as they seek to cash in on spiraling NHS waiting lists." I would argue that this presents a different kind of opportunity in digital health. https://lnkd.in/e7PM_crS - and the US? European companies always look to the US as a larger, more active market and there is still truth in this but markets move ever onwards. I am looking forward to hearing Johannes (Johan) Swanepoel present, "FHIR up Clinical Guidelines with platforms for safe AI" at 12.30pm Wednesday 8th May His talk explores why we need hyper-automation in healthcare and then examines an example that demonstrates the art of the possible with practical use cases. These cases aim to alleviate the burden on Healthcare professionals while providing improved patient outcomes. Additionally, Johan will discuss some of the foundational components that Government and industry are putting in place, and why a platform that delivers speed, scale, and trust is required to drive adoption.

STOP telling me "TOMORROW we´ll have a better Healthcare", after over 30 years as a student and performer in HC in Germany and internationally i´ve other scenarios in my mind ! #oxfordscenarioprogramme The Health Care Systems worldwide show partially different levels of service and performance. G20 goverments work most of the time on cost cutting strategies in Healthcare, pushing the work force in big numbers out of the system and there´s a theory about a slow innovation progress in medicine on the long run. Whatever we might think about the current and future problems in Health Care, there´s a need for new ideas and innovative approaches. It looks like even the big economies are far away from imagination, creativity and inspiration to reinvent Healthcare. We all know where the "COST-CUTTING-STRATEGY in HEALTHCARE" will end ! Do we ? I know "It depends"... if you meet in future someone who still has time for your Health Problem :-) AND "VALUE BASED HEALTHCARE" which try to push higher efficiency, productivity and ROI will lead to even more burnouts, isolation and depression ! So Prof. Dr. Patrick Glauner, Dr. med. Pantea Pape, Dr.med. Guido Lerzynski MBA, Julia Plugmann (Physician) and i, will co-edit a new book with Springer Nature Group about this topic AND if you´d like to contribute a 15 pages Chapter in the next 4 months, feel free to send a message and come onboard. We plan 20 chapters, 12 are left, so don´t think to long :-) Let´s hope for a better world and for a change in Health & Care worldwide. We’re turning 1! 🎉  As we celebrate our first anniversary, we want to acknowledge the input and impact of our partners, advisors, clinicians, trade and member associations, companies included in PHTI’s evaluations and many others, on our mission of helping elevate digital health evidence standards. Thank you! Alongside our partners, in our first year we:  ▪ Developed an original assessment framework specific to digital health tools in coordination with the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER).  ▪ Released two assessments reflecting on digital diabetes management solutions and musculoskeletal (MSK) virtual care.  ▪ Established our Advisory Board of leaders spanning academia, healthcare innovation, digital technology, and economics.  ▪ Built a Purchaser Advisory Council (PAC), including 22 major health plans, employers, and health systems.   ▪ Launched the Digital Health Collaborative, a group of leading healthcare and consumer organizations that share a commitment to raising the bar for evidence and value in digital health technology.
