You haven't heard much from us lately, and for a good reason. In the last year we've been hard at work to deliver a completely new version of Modelur for SketchUp. It is build based on our more than a decade long learning of ins and outs of SketchUp, and listening to our users. Today I'm happy to announce we will soon open it for public. In our latest Beta release, we're introducing a connection to LightUp, a real-time rendering engine for SketchUp that delivers lightning-fast sunlight simulations for urban projects. No more waiting for hours or relying on guesswork – with Modelur and LightUp, you'll get instant results, allowing you to make informed design decisions with confidence. Check out this real-time sunlight simulation running on a laptop without a dedicated graphics card in shared post. Interested? As we are pushing a new AgiliCity | Modelur Beta toward public availability, new enhancements are being added. One of the finest examples is teaming-up with LightUp, a super useful real-time rendering engine for SketchUp that can produce almost instant sunlight simulation on large scale urban projects. No more waiting, no more guesswork. Click, run, done. On your computer, not in cloud. Note this video has note been edited, the simulation shown is captured in real-time, as it is being calculated. The laptop used doesn't even have a dedicated graphics card (runs on Intel Iris Xe). We've added a small UI to streamline the calculation on relevant dates (solstices, equinox), pinpoint underlit/problematic areas using gradient threshold, and specify desired accuracy (sampling) and visualization. Great work you have done with the new version of Modelur - looking forward to see what the sunlight simulation can do.
