What is it that causes the best caregivers to remain with a home care company? Several years ago, we conducted a study of best caregivers. We asked ten companies who are members of the Home Care CEO Forum to identify their best caregivers based on two criteria; reliability, and client satisfaction. We asked these "best caregivers" to complete a short online survey. One question was, "What causes you to remain with your current home care company. Here's what they told us. 1. I'm doing important work. 2. I feel valued and appreciated by my clients. 3. I feel valued and appreciated by my supervisor. 4. I like my flexible schedule. 5. I like the education and training provided by my company. 6. I feel valued and appreciated by my company owner. 7. I feel fairly paid. Given the impact of COVID, the explosive growth of home care, and the caregiver shortage of the past few years, how do you think Best Caregivers would answer the question today?
