We can’t talk about disruptors in the industry, or even in a broader sense in today’s world, without discussing Artificial Intelligence (AI). Where will it go, and how will it change the world of business? Thanks to Brett Sciotto and a panel of Senior Executive Leaders in the ag world, we might have a better idea. Some insights we took away from their panel discussion yesterday during the #CPDA #2024AICPTucson:
🔜 We’re still fairly early in the development of AI, but it won’t be long before we see it in all types of technology. Soon, it will be blurring the lines between the physical, digital, and biological worlds.
🛡 AI will break down barriers and unite knowledge across industries and within businesses. From keeping people safe to streamlining supply chains, AI will empower human progress and business development. It is designed to enhance employee productivity, not replace them.
🚚 From collecting and interpreting data in the field to see-and-spray technology to autonomous trucks for transporting products to market, AI is already integrated into the agricultural industry.
🏆 AI is here to stay. Its adaptation will likely determine the winner and losers across industries. Even in agriculture, arguably the oldest and most important industry in the world, we must change or become irrelevant.

Senior executive leadership panel moderator Brett Sciotto, CEO of Aimpoint Research® emphasized that we should embrace the tools and technology and the disruptions that are coming rather to defend or resist against them. The panelists also discussed how we begin to think about artificial intelligence as an enabler of business optimization.
