I am very pleased to share with you an important milestone of the Flexibility Lab initiative, launched by Enel Group and coordinated by Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico - RSE SpA and EPRI. The Flexibility Lab initiative involved over 60 members from key industry, research institutes, and universities, aiming to create a dedicated forum for #energysector players to interact on topics related to the exploitation of #flexibility sources with a special focus on #distribution network. The work was organized around 3 Working Groups (WG): WG1 – Observability and Controllability, WG2 – DERMS and Market Platforms, WG3 – eMobility. In a nutshell, the Flexibility Lab white paper - executive summary reports about the innovation #challenges faced by network stakeholders with the aim of mapping innovation opportunities for the evolution of the electricity system, provides six #usecases representing examples of practical applications, and a series of best practices and recommendations. We believe this document could be particularly relevant to #smartgrids experts and grid stakeholders towards the electricity network ongoing transformation. Lucas  January 05, 2024 PH's largest data center is Asia's most energy efficient https://lnkd.in/gkyX_4XH Launched last March by Singapore-based hyperscaler Digital Edge and its Philippine partner Threadborne Group, the Narra 1 data center in Biñan, Laguna, is nowhere near the massive facilities operating in North America or Europe. But the 10-megawatt (MW) facility is making waves in the rapidly growing industry, despite its relatively small size, because of several key innovations that put it right up there with its global peers, especially in terms of energy efficiency. Narra 1 is the country’s first “carrier neutral” data center, meaning it is not affiliated with any telecommunications firm. Coupled with the new cooling technology, which requires less electricity and water to maintain optimal temperatures for the massive heat-generating data transfers, the business proposition for clients here and abroad is compelling.

Today was a great opportunity for me to present VEDECOM 's work in the field of electrification at a Franco-American bilateral meeting between the Ministère Écologie Territoires and the US Joint Office of Energy and Transportation !! The objective? Showcase how we approach the integration of #emobility into the #energy system. Highlighted in this presentation was our program strategy to make #EVs one of the answers to the challenge of transforming the energy sector, addressing key pillars such as demand-side #flexibility, energy #storage, and #smartgrids. This demonstrates the central role of the Mobena consortium: 👉 aiming to coordinate the French ecosystem for electric vehicle charging for interoperable services and coordinated deployment on a European scale. 👉 supporting the emergence of #smartcharging offerings, and structuring demand. 👉 supported by technological research projects #SCPA smart-charging protocols for all, INCIT-EV dynamic wireless power transfer, #MULTISTOR cost-killing solutions for energy storage systems, and the #ADICS EV charging innovation hub!
