AGPAL - Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited’s Post

📢Important Update for General Practices! The The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has announced a vital update to the RACGP Standards for general practices (5th edition). The updated standard, GP2.2►E, now includes revised guidelines for managing high-risk results identified outside of normal operating hours. Key changes include that you must: • have a documented policy that outlines the process for your practice’s management for high-risk results identified outside of normal opening hours • give diagnostic services the contact details of the practitioner who ordered the investigation or a delegated practitioner or after-hours service. This change aims to ensure patients are promptly informed of critical results at any time while considering the logistical challenges faced by GPs.
