From the NSW Mid North Coast right up to Queensland’s Atherton Tablelands, harvest is one of the busiest times of the year for the 800+ hardworking macadamia growers in Australia’s orchards. The macadamia growing season can be broken down into three main periods: >> August – September: Flowering begins >> October – January: Nuts begin to form in clusters, their shells harden, and oil rapidly accumulates >> February – August: Mature nuts fall to the ground and are harvested with purpose-built harvesting machinery Come harvest time, the beautiful mature macadamia nuts that have fallen to the ground are collected by purpose-built harvesters. They’re then transported to processing facilities where they’re de-husked, cracked, sorted and packed, with the husks returned to the orchard floor. #macadamias #macadamianuts #ausmacadamias #AustralianMacadamias #nuts #nutindustry #macadamiafarmers #macadamiasuppliers #harvest Jacqui Price Clare Hamilton-Bate

How can you harvest better results for your business? In this game, I got to be a farmer, planting crops, like planting seeds for my perspective, clients and nurturing their growth, tending to the relationship, following up, and then making sure I have enough people on my team to harvest the results. So many great metaphors! #FrontierTrainings #clintonswaine #salesmastery Clinton Swaine

We're caught up in the rhythms and cycles of the season - growing, tending, harvesting, rinse, repeat. Most of our overwintered crops are finished now- and just in time, because we're expecting many things to be ready within the next few weeks. Soon we'll have chards, cilantro, dandelion, green onion & spinach. The overwintered spinach has been plentiful, and we are almost finished harvesting. By the time that is done, the new transplants should be ready. Here’s a sneak peek - these are the very first spinach transplants of 2024, and they are spectacular! A telltale sign of great things to come. We are fortunate to farm here in Southern Ontario – some of the best farmland in the world! It MUST be protected for generations to come. #Spinach #LoveOntFood #LocalFoodWeek #OntarioFarm #SustainableAgriculture #Organic #Pfennings #WholesaleProduce #NoFarmlandNoFood #OntarioOrganic
