Refreshing to see a CEO and Co-Founder praise their end-to-end team. We see far too little of this when listings, awards, and accolades are announced, with the glory often going to SLT. Arguably, for most brewers, the folks on the bottling/canning line are the most crucial to the success of the business. I've known Pillars for many years, and have judged beer competitions at their Walthamstow brewery several times since 2019. Their unwavering passion for, and commitment to producing world class lager beers is unmatched in UK brewing. While most brewers pursue the lofty commercial heights of hazy fad pales and market-trend stouts, Pillars Brewery only brew lager. The liquid has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years, after significant investment in horizontal lagering tanks (hit me up in the comments if you're interested in more detail on how this works - it's fascinating!), and a brand new bottling line to achieve record low levels of dissolved oxygen in pack; vital to ensuring preservation of flavour in such a delicate family of beers. The cherry-on-top of all of the above is that their core Pilsner is Gluten Free, a crucial USP for a restaurant group like Côte Restaurants which prides itself on being able to cater for guests with different dietary requirements. From a personal perspective, when so many (properly matured) lagers are so low in gluten anyway, going the extra mile to certify these beers as such makes them imminently more accessible to a wider consumer base, and makes a value statement to the consumer that you care about making sure your beers can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. Pilsner for the people. 🍻

It was a valuable learning experience for myself and the entire team, filled with positive customer interactions and operational insights. Optimizing Efficiency: We identified areas to streamline the ordering process, ensuring a faster and more enjoyable experience for our customers. Reducing wait times for our delicious ice cream puffs is a key focus moving forward. Customer Loyalty: We were delighted by the number of repeat customers who came back for multiple visits. Your enthusiasm for our product is incredibly motivating, and we appreciate your continued support. Adapting to New Environments: This event provided an opportunity to assess the logistics of operating within a tent setup compared to our usual food truck. While there were some adjustments, we're confident in our ability to adapt and improve for future events. Overcoming Challenges: A brief rain ⛈️shower threatened to dampen the festivities (almost literally!), but our team persevered and ensured a successful conclusion. We're committed to being prepared for any weather condition that might arise.
