💰Budget 2024: Agriculture sector gets 1.5 Lakh Crore Allocation | 6 Big Announcements for Farmers: The Union Budget 2024–25 has come up with a strategy to transform India's agricultural sector. There is a 4.5% growth in allocation for this sector, increasing from Rs 1,26,665.56 crore to 1,32,469.86 crore in Budget 2024-25. The following are the key details that should encourage growth in the farming industry: Surveys to be conducted in over 400 districts to improve crop management (Kharif crops). 1 Crore farmers will be introduced to and be engaged in organic farming. Kisan Credit Cards based on Jan Samarth will be issued in five states. New policies will be introduced to boost employment in rural areas. 10,000 new centres for sustainable practices will be established. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on July 23 presented the Union Budget 2024. While presenting the Budget 2024, the finance minister said that ₹1.52 lakh crore will be alloted for agriculture sector. Moreover, the minister added that the government will release new 109 high yielding, climate resilient seeds for 32 field and horticulture crops will be released for cultivation by farmers. In the next 2 years, 1 crore farmers will be initiated into natural farming supported by certification and branding. In addition to this, Finance Minister added that government in partnership with states will promote digital public infrastructure for agriculture. ₹1.52 lakh crore allocated for the agriculture sector could benefit rural demand for automobiles - particularly entry-level two-wheelers and tractors,” said FM.
