Don’t just talk the talk – walk the walk. March, April, June, July – every day, every month, every year.

She told me development work could be fun. 👀 I said prove it and she has. When Julie Ordoñez started partnering with The Teaching Well we began a journey of self-exploration and strategic planning. The hustle can sometimes have us forget that we aren't just fundraising to close the gap, to build the reserve, to expand on benefits offerings. We work here and we want to be just as well as we hope to get our clients. We deserve joy and stability. 🗣 Beyond that, our fiscal solvency ensures the often marginalized and unheard BIPOC educators and leaders we serve, have an organization that represents them. Understands them. Heals alongside them. 💡 It's not "we have to" anymore with development work. It's "we get to and we know how to do it authentically." That matters.
