At the Exhibition Industry Summit 2024, organized by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the Prime Minister emphasized the Government’s commitment to infrastructure development and the creation of a “one-stop service” system to facilitate international exhibitions. With a strategic focus on high-growth sectors like electric vehicles (EVs), digital technology, and holistic wellness, the summit aimed to enhance Thailand’s reputation as a hub for international exhibitions. The country welcomed over 284,000 international exhibition visitors in the first nine months of the fiscal year, generating 18.87 billion baht—a 31% increase compared to the previous year. Although the country has slipped 5 positions and now ranks behind Iceland, our competitiveness remains robust and impressive. South Korea, on the other hand, has climbed all the way to the 20th position, showcasing remarkable progress! The ranking is conducted by IMD, which assesses various factors including economic performance, government efficiency, and business efficiency, among others.
