In the year 1312 C.E., whenever I hear a date or year like that, it always gets me thinking, sparking a deep curiosity within me. Mansa Musa and so many others walked this earth during that period. Where are they now? How are these legends remembered? For all I know, my home might be sitting atop their very graves. Now, I don't mean to scare you, but here's the honest truth: death is coming. As Fela would say, "One day go be one day." So, let me ask you—when your time is up, what do you want to be known for? Do you want to be remembered as a beacon of light in times of darkness, a source of hope, inspiration, and resilience? Whether through your words, deeds, or simply your presence. Do you want to be known for your kindness and compassion? In a world often tainted by cruelty and indifference, do you want your legacy to be one of genuine empathy and understanding—not just superficial eye-service? Or is your dream to be known as the person with the fanciest car or the most expensive watch? For me, on a personal level, I aspire to be known as a lifelong learner and a catalyst for growth.
