Top 7 Things You Must #NOT Do as a Mechanical Technician Working Offshore. As an Offshore #Mechanical #Technician, your ability to maintain operational efficiency while ensuring safety is crucial. I've seen how certain mistakes can disrupt operations or even compromise #safety. Here are 7 things you must avoid: 1. Neglecting #Safety #Protocols: Offshore #environments demand strict adherence to safety standards. Skipping even minor safety checks can lead to catastrophic results. 2. Ignoring #Equipment #Inspections: Failing to regularly inspect mechanical systems, especially high-#pressure #systems, can result in unexpected downtime and costly repairs. 3. Overlooking #Documentation: Clear, accurate, and timely documentation of maintenance work is non-negotiable. It ensures #traceability and #accountability. 4. Rushing #Repairs: Offshore #mechanical #systems like #pumps, #compressors, and #hoses require #precision. Rushing to fix a fault without thorough #diagnostics can worsen the problem. 5. Not Staying Updated on Industry #Standards: From #ISO standards to #API certifications, the offshore #industry is evolving. Make sure you’re staying current with best #practices and #regulatory updates. 6. Poor #Communication with #Crew: Offshore work is a team effort. Miscommunication can slow down processes or even endanger lives during critical operations. 7. Ignoring Preventive #Maintenance: Regular preventive maintenance ensures the longevity of equipment like export hoses, #marine loading arms, and other critical #assets. Working #offshore comes with unique #challenges, but following these guidelines will help you excel and ensure safe, smooth #operations. #MechanicalTechnician #OffshoreMaintenance #SPMSystems #OilAndGas #HSE #PreventiveMaintenance #MarineEngineering #OperationsExcellence #MechanicalEngineering #EnergySector #OffshoreSafety #CareerGrowth

|Maintenance engineer| Maintenance coordinator |Maintenance & Reliability Engineer| Maintenance Technician|OSHA Safety| Valves Maintenance Engineer
My friend and Questions. He asked me?, Mr uche " how did you know how to Carry out repairs on instruments fittings and hydraulic systems and even valves. I replied knowledge and wisdom are to different things. you may know it, which is knowledge but wisdom helps you to make it an application. Mr Franklin continues with his questions? but you are a mechanical engineer, but you also do piping installation and also maintenance of pumps and alignment of cooling fan and even repairing actuators? Mr Franklin sometimes I wonder how you know all things without being told and instructed. In reply I said, being an engineer you need to understand the working principles of all theses static and rotating equipments so you can be able to fixed them even when the technician are not there and it helps you to give a positive example and supervision during the time of maintenance installation and repairs services inline with API and ASME specifications and Standards. Mr Franklin said one day I pray that God should grant you a more better job, so you won't continue to labour for these people that don't know you worth. just imagine how you possess many technical skills not only as maintenance and Realiblity specialist, but you are also fit as valves technician, instrument technician, maintenance technician, piping installation engineer,. maintenance engineer, maintenance supervisor. field operator. Guy you are too good for the industry. well that is why I like working with you on the field because I do learn a lot. In reply I said to (Mr. Frank ) God doesn't call the qualify that is why many are Called but few are chosen.

Realiability and Maintenance Specialist in Oil an Gas Industry.AI-ML application consultant in Predictive MIntenance.
Maintenance of Equipment used in Oil and Gas Industry need following Skilled Manpower better known as 1.Fitters 2.Riggers 3.Mill Wright Fitters 4.Machinists 5.Technicians 6.Helpers Generally it has been seen only few have Diploma certificates in Engineering and majority of them do not have technical certifications like 1.ITI certificate 2.Not any Scientific School Certificate. Most of practicing manpower including 1.Fabricator 2.Welder 3.Scaffolder do not have formal technical education and have only experience which in some cases very relevant in Industry. However in my view Good Technical Hands come only from Certified Diploma Engineers and they need to be given chances and training to work on Roatating as well Static equipment and must be exposed 1.Best Practices 2.Best written repair, assembly procedures In specialized Machinery like critical big Machines like 1.Compressors 2.Pumps 3.Steam and Gasturbines The skilled manpower must be given consistent training along with responsible Maintenance and Reliability Engineers. Actually nobody can replace good technicians whose work is perfect and no rework is required in general. However Maintenance Engineers/Reliability Engineers must ensure 1.Proper and Special Tools and Tackles. 2.Spare Parts/ Material 3.Encouraging innovation in Repair as well Encouraging to learn from every Mchinery failure. 4.Logistics NOTE:All this is about Mechanical Discipline.Same applies to Electrical,Instrumentation discipline for Maintenance. #maintenance #failure #reliability #spareparts #oilandgas #pumps #steamturbines #gasturbines #compressors

What is a Parameter ? In a process context, a parameter is a variable that influences the operation and outcome of a process. Parameters can be adjusted and monitored to ensure optimal performance, quality, and efficiency. Here are some common types of parameters in different processes: 1. Temperature: Crucial in processes like chemical reactions, welding, and HVAC systems. 2. Pressure: Important in hydraulic systems, boilers, and water pumps. 3. Flow Rate: Monitored in pipelines, water distribution systems, and chemical processes. 4. Speed: Relevant in machining, conveyor systems, and motor operations. 5. Voltage/Current: Key in electrical systems and equipment. 6. Vibration: Monitored in rotating machinery like pumps and compressors to detect imbalances or faults. 7. pH Level: Important in water treatment, chemical manufacturing, and food processing. 8. Torque: Measured in mechanical systems to ensure proper force application. 9. Humidity: Controlled in HVAC systems and certain manufacturing processes. 10. Material Composition: Ensures quality and consistency in manufacturing processes. as a process technician, monitor and adjust many of these parameters is to maintain process efficiency and safety. #Openforwork #mechanical #engineering #technician #rotatingequipment #process #safetyfirst
