Today marks two years at Cloverleaf, and I’m genuinely honored to be part of this team. While reflecting, I decided to use our tool to ask, "How can I continue to develop as a person?"
One aspect of the tip immediately stood out, 'Will this bring me joy?'
In 2020, I made a huge career change.
I decided to go after things, try new things, and lean into things that bring joy.
'If not now, then when?' was a question I kept asking myself, but I knew I couldn’t dwell on it for too long.
I wanted to continue becoming a different person, a different husband, a different father, a different friend, a different teammate, a different leader, a different...
In the process, I realized how deeply I wanted to do work that aligned with my values and collaborate with people who care about:
‒ Freedom (empowered to make decisions)
‒ Trustworthiness (reliable)
‒ Curiosity (open-mindedness to explore ideas)
‒ Growth (development as people and a team)
‒ Genuineness (authentic and transparent)
I wrote these values down and they became my guideposts as I moved forward.
Cloverleaf is one of the spaces in my life where I get to experience and live these values daily. The people here (and, of course, the platform!) consistently help me become different in the best ways.
Maybe this tip might help you, too, as you consider your next step in development:
Will this bring me joy?
How will this enrich my life or others' lives?
Is there something else I should do instead?
