You can create community around something OR you can change it, but you can't do both Think about the five people closest to you. How often when you all get together over a glass of wine, are there conversations about: 😩 How being a professional parent just means waking up to run a marathon everyday and falling into bed just to do it all again tomorrow 😩How HARD life is in this season 😩 How "behind" you feel in life Without any solutions, or strategies being shared. Now, I love releasing a little steam complaining (particularly while texting a friend when its an hour past my kid's bedtime and they're still bouncing off the walls!) but there are two different kinds of venting or sharing struggles. 1. To create community 2. To create change The truth is that too many professional women, and especially professional moms, create community around overwhelm, around "hot mess" motherhood, around feeling like door mats because THEY DON'T BELIEVE THEY CAN CHANGE IT. And so instead share their struggles to create community around being stuck The women who join the Unapologetic Living Code do the latter. They bring their challenges to calls to share AND develop the skills and frameworks they need to move through them. So how do you go from #1 to #2? Learn how to sink into the belief that change is possible, and putt yourself in spaces that will make it inevitable

Exhausted. Under appreciated. Broken. These are phrases I hear mothers use all the time. Replace these with Ignored, Undervalued and Betrayed and we are getting much closer. Moms at Work doesn't exist just to teach you how to get a new job. I want to show you how valuable you are. How to understand how systems work and how to change them. I want you to know that IT IS NOT YOU. Moms at Work has 3 goals: 1. Make women more money 2. Help women get better jobs. 3. Create community. I am a very very very good advocate and we desperately need voices for change. I can do this. And so can you. Tell me. Have you felt these things? Did you think it was your fault? Let's talk about it in the comments. 👇

#womenempowermentwednesday Hey lovely moms out there, Navigating the teenage years with your daughters can feel a bit like trying to solve a puzzle without the picture on the box, can't it? Sometimes, it feels like you're speaking different languages, and other times, it's like you're on the same wavelength. It’s all part of this incredibly rich tapestry of motherhood. I know the challenges are real. Teens today are navigating a world vastly different from the one we knew growing up. From the pressures of social media to the complexities of mental health, these are uncharted waters for both of you. But here’s the thing - within these challenges lie opportunities. Opportunities for growth, for understanding, and for forging bonds that are strong and resilient. Remember, your journey is unique, and you’re doing an incredible job. My message to you is one of unwavering support and belief in your strength as a mother. I'm here to guide, to empower, and to remind you that in the heart of these sometimes tumultuous teenage years, there's a beautiful opportunity to grow together with your daughter. Having it all, as a woman is a myth. Society tells us we can pursue our dreams while taking full responsibility for our homes and families. But the harsh truth is... It's not that simple. You may find yourself juggling motherhood, a blossoming career, and a house to maintain. You may feel like you're being pulled in different directions. The guilt-trip is real. But it needn't be like this. We need to stop beating ourselves up for not being "enough”. We need to start owning our decisions and knowing that it's okay to ask for help. Asking for help doesn't mean we're weak. It makes us stronger. It's time to change the narrative. It's okay to not have it all. But it's not okay to let society tell us otherwise. Let's start championing those women who are breaking stereotypes and defining success on their own terms. #EmpowermentSeries #BreakTheStereotype #itsoktosayno #itsoktoaskforhelp #amitaanoop #balancinglife #empoweringwomeneverywhere #smallstep #itsoktotakeabreak

I help entrepreneurial women with complicated personal lives chase their passions without fear of overwhelm.
Because women will change the world!!! I was taking a class on how to start producing physical product (Watch out world—here comes the next phase of my business development!) when they had us do an activity that I use with clients but had never applied to my business before. I call it a drill down technique. It started with the question: Why is it important for me to _______________? Then you repeat this question with the answer you got. To illustrate, if you start with “Why is it important for me to read the book on my nightstand,” and the answer is “Because I want to be an expert on all aspects of sleep,” then you ask, “Why is it important for me to be an expert on all aspects of sleep?” etc. After you have drilled down at least 7 times, you usually get to some juicy nugget that provides true motivation. ((I challenge you to give this a try!)) So here’s the curious thing for me--and you’re then going to ask why the hell this was curious since it seems so darn obvious--when I ask this question about any of the next steps in my business, it boils down to this: Because women will change the world. The duh is that my FB community page is titled World Changing Women. The duh is that I knew I needed to have Important Conversations surrounding marginalized populations for one of our offerings; and I knew that I had to support women’s emotional health because we get burned out so very easily by our outsized demands; and I knew that I needed to create spaces for community and conversation; and I knew that we needed, more than anyone, to have clear boundaries around the use of our time; and I knew that I kept getting called to create another FB group for mother’s of high support-needs kids; and I knew that all of this was due to lived experience; BUT…. This weekend I just finally realized that moms of high needs kids find themselves in the role of advocacy which leads to burnout and drain on their time and resources but also makes them need more community support and makes them more open to seeing the needs of others (beyond their children) and step more fully into social justice . . . Because women (particularly moms of high support-needs) will change the world. And now, I am realizing even further, that the day in my late 20s when I was confiding in my hairdresser that I felt confused whether or not I would change my career path from engineer to therapist, bemoaning the fact that I had such wildly diverse interests and not knowing how to build a career out of them (noting yoga, spirituality, therapy, engineering, science, non-profit work . . .) and that there did not seem to be a unifying factor . . . That suddenly when this bit of wisdom fell out of my mouth: “But there has to be a unifying factor, because it all resides within me.” I steadied myself and knew the only step was forward into the great unknown and I got the degree.

Unfolding Horizons: My Path to Inclusive Change I've been reflecting on my journey and the collective path we walk together. It's a path that's not just mine, or that of women alone, but one shared by many who face struggles—minorities, those without financial privilege, and individuals dealing with trauma and mental health challenges. I once believed in a dream that seemed predestined: marriage, family, a life that mirrored the generations before me. But as I've grown, I've come to see the depth and breadth of what we can fight for—a world that not only lifts women but levels the playing field for everyone. It's about breaking down the barriers that hold us back, creating a system that truly embraces each one of us, with all our diverse dreams and aspirations. It's about recognizing that our struggles, while unique, are also interconnected. So here's to the journey of discovery, to the courage of those who've inspired us, and to a future where inclusivity isn't just a goal, it's the foundation of everything we build. Together, we can create a world that's kind, just, and open to the dreams of all its people. #Inclusivity #Empowerment #Diversity #Equality #SocialChange #Community #Leadership #Education #MentalHealth #WomenInBusiness #GenderEquality #Human

Did you know that: Women between the ages of 18 and 49 experienced the most loss in community and friendships during the pandemic? This was more loss than any MAN of any age group. THAT loss of community and friendships FOR WOMEN resulted in MORE women: Having fewer close friendships than they once did, Talking to their friends LESS often, and Relying LESS on their friends for personal support. created more isolation Women (particularly women in leadership) need community and friendships to help them see themselves and others through a lens of grace, forgiveness, and empathy. We all carry so many stories and struggles! When women get into a community, we share our stories more often and we learn from each other through those shared experiences. It’s time to pivot back to finding friends that match our fly! #friendship #businessmentor #selfreflection #pivot #trulypoc #tarynfletcher #lifecoaching #professionalgoals #personalgoals #goalsetting #achievinggoals #changeyourlife #worktogether #startnow #youmatter #doworkthatmatters #montessorileaders #schoolleaders #independentschools
