The practice of medicine is an art, not a trade; a calling, not a business; a calling in which your heart will be exercised equally with your head." – William Osler In a world striving for health equity, these words remind us that healthcare is more than a profession—it's a lifelong commitment to compassionate service. Every patient deserves access to care that sees them as a whole person, not just a case number. As we push forward in our efforts to bridge the gap in healthcare disparities, let's remember that at the heart of medicine is the drive to serve, heal, and uplift every community. Let's continue to work together to ensure that everyone, no matter their background, has the opportunity to live a healthy life. #HealthEquity #MedicineAsAnArt #CompassionateCare **Written with the assistance of AI*

In our journey towards a more holistic approach to health, it's crucial to recognize the impact of Social Determinants of Health (#SDoH). These non-medical factors, such as #socioeconomic status, education, and environment, play a significant role in shaping an individual's health outcomes. New healthcare models that place a strong emphasis on addressing SDoH are emerging, integrating them into #patientcare to provide more comprehensive and personalized treatment plans. These models recognize that health is not just about medical treatment; it's about creating an environment that supports overall #wellbeing. By addressing SDoH, we can not only improve patient outcomes but also reduce #healthdisparities, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need to live a healthy life. Let's continue to push the boundaries of traditional #healthcare and strive for a more inclusive and equitable health system. At AI Nexus Healthcare, we understand that health is influenced by numerous factors outside the clinical setting, and our goal transcends #data and #trendanalysis. We are committed to sculpting a healthcare ecosystem that upholds the principles of #equity and #inclusivity. Our technology caters to the distinct necessities of various communities, advocates for preventive healthcare, and foresees potential hurdles, thereby mitigating them proactively. When looking at digital health solutions that can better the World this article by The World Bank sums things up very well. It caught my eye after being shared by Alexander Bedenkov - thank you. https://lnkd.in/etJVfKb4 At Gendius Ltd we have always ensured that our digital solutions are inclusive, for the betterment of all and can be scaled across global healthcare markets. Often I see and hear about great digital solutions but they are often very niche for markets with well developed healthcare, electronic records, genetic screening etc. The real challenge and reward is using digital to improve access, connect the people in most need and then scale the solution in a equitable way. In the UK we are working with Health Innovation Manchester to help improve Chronic Kidney Disease testing for those hardest to reach and disadvantaged. In the coming months we will also say more about what we are doing in other Countries. #healthforall #investinhealth Nipun Jain Susana Goncalves Luciano Watanabe Nick Passey潘尼克 Pei-Chieh Fong Dr. Münevver Gönenç Daniel Zamora Ben Bridgewater Karen Fox

Thank you to Med-Tech World for inviting me to speak on a panel discussion at #MTW2023 on the topic of “Advancing health equity: Will digital health help?” It was a real privilage to speak alongside Tim Ringrose and the discussion was expertly moderated by Jessica Smith from #SomX on a crucially important in AI and digital health. We covered a wide range of areas around this theme including: 💡What does equity really mean in digital health? 💡What are the challenges we face and how we can avoid inadvertently widening inequity? 💡How we can try close some of the biggest gaps, for example how do we avoid populations being left behind? 💡How can we pro-actively address some of the biggest barriers in addressing inequity in digital health? Looking forward to taking these learnings and keeping them top of mind in the products and services we build at Ada. (Photo credit Dr. James Somauroo Copyright 2023 All right Reserved😂)
