Unfortunatly lately it's loosing it's charm. It needs expansion, needs maintenance work and needs new planning for pickup and dropoff passengers (somehow the actual management never heard about Uber vehicles and makes traffic a nightmare to arrive and to leave the airport!).

(continuation) Of course you can call an Uber or a taxi to go or leave the airport, and during the dropping-off of passengers, Ubers, taxis, tourist buses, or private-owned cars can park for 5 minutes, free of charge. Also, you can go directly from the airport to the metro. Traffic is not a nightmare when coming or leaving the airport if one arrives on time (departures). If there are Uber/taxi shortages, this happens everywhere in the world: you have to call an Uber/taxi beforehand and wait for a while, just like everyone does around the world.

Finally, a very deserved and long-awaited recognition! I would only change the post's main photo for an inside shot to better showcase the beauty of Oporto's airport. On another note, yes, the airport needs to be expanded a) regarding some rows of standing passengers that await boarding their planes, overflowing a part of the main corridor, and b) regarding the need for more chairs at some gates. I'm afraid I have to disagree with Amaral's comment because the airport does have charm: the main hall is spacious, with good natural lighting, check-in desks have competent employees, flight information screens are almost everywhere, the airport is clean (before and after the baggage control which, in turn, is efficient and flows easily), there is also a frankly good assortment of tax-free shops and shops where you can take coffee ou grab something to eat and, lastly, the employees are friendly.
