🌟 Being the Founder and CEO of South Geeks: Balancing Dreams and Reality 🌟
Navigating the world as both Founder and CEO of South Geeks is like trying to wear two hats on one head—fashionable, but not always comfortable. 🤹♂️
As the founder, I’m the dreamer, the visionary, the “Wouldn't it be amazing if…” person. I see potential in every idea, relish the thrill of innovation, and love building our team’s culture from scratch. 🚀
Then, there’s the CEO—pragmatic, data-driven, and sometimes the “No, we can’t afford a company jet yet” realist. My CEO self has to ensure we hit our KPIs, stay within budget, and keep our trajectory steady. 📈
The challenge? Aligning these two roles can feel like negotiating between two stubborn individuals. Founder me wants to take risks, while CEO me is all about caution and foresight. It’s like balancing a tightrope between ambition and responsibility.
The conflict often arises when Founder me dreams big, chasing every shiny new idea. Meanwhile, CEO me scrutinizes every move, focusing on practicality and financial viability. Founder me might want to invest in groundbreaking innovation or an inspiring team-building retreat, but CEO me has to keep an eye on the bottom line and quarterly targets.
Yet, it’s this very tension that drives South Geeks forward. The push and pull between innovation and pragmatism forces us to refine our ideas, making them both bold and feasible. It’s not always easy, but the balance is where the magic happens.
And here's the secret ingredient: our incredible team of managers. Their expertise, reliability, and dedication are what truly make things work. They bridge the gap between my dual roles, turning ambitious plans into practical actions and ensuring we stay on course. Their support pushes us forward, making the impossible possible. Big shoutout to Bárbara Macherett, Hernan Morris and Sergio Barbieri for making magic with the duality.
So here’s to all the founders wearing multiple hats—may we juggle, innovate, and lead with determination and grace (and a good dose of caffeine). ☕️💼
