Cervical cancer remains a leading cause of death among women, especially in the Global South, where access to early screening is limited. We urgently need innovative screening devices that can be integrated into primary care systems, ensuring accessibility, privacy, and ease of use within communities. We need breakthroughs that can save lives by enabling early detection and treatment. Can we bridge the healthcare gap and create solutions that empower women everywhere and turn the tide against cervical cancer? #cervicalcancer #phc #decentralisedcare #HPV #CervicalCancerAwareness #PreventCervicalCancer #CervicalHealth #HPVawareness #CervicalCancerPrevention #EndCervicalCancer
Cervical cancer is both preventable and curable when detected early, yet far too many women are denied this possibility. For those in low-resource and underserved communities, barriers to early detection and care are daunting. Limited awareness, inaccessible screenings, and systemic hurdles leave countless women vulnerable. At Social Alpha, we are breaking these barriers, enabling start-ups to create innovative solutions that bring healthcare within every woman’s reach. #CervicalCancerEliminationDayofAction Manoj Kumar | Dr VIJAYALAKSHMI RAMSHANKAR #WHO #907090 #HPVScreening

“Communities and countries and ultimately the world are only as strong as the health of their women.” – Michelle Obama In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness we walked with strength in our veins and honor for those who are impacted by breast cancer. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes. Get all your screenings and most importantly ADVOCATE for yourself if you feel something is off. Women spend 25% more of their lives in debilitating health than men, according to a report from the World Economic Forum and the McKinsey Health Institute. The women’s health gap includes a persistent data gap, with women being underdiagnosed for certain conditions compared to men. The health care system needs to do better. I pray for all illnesses and pain to be eradicated from this world. I hope we can all support those who are struggling, advocate for more research in to women’s health, and show support for the cause however that may be. #womenshealth #breastcancerawarenessmonth #departmentofhumanservices #breastcancer #advocateforwomensrights #womenshealth

Ovarian cancer is a challenging disease, and for non-Hispanic White women, survival rates are 40-42%. However, for Black women, survival rates are even lower at 29-31%, and there are many factors contributing to this discrepancy, from unconscious bias to hospital system factors to insurance coverage and incidences of comorbidities. I spoke with DocWire News recently to discuss the health disparities faced by Black women with ovarian cancer and the screening options and symptoms that women can look out for to proactively look out for their health.
