Conference merch is awesome. Who can resist grabbing a few branded pens or keychains? But when considering possible giveaways for your event attendees, don't forget graphic recording. In addition to adding excitement and engagement as the event happens, graphic recordings can be circulated and enjoyed long after it's over, reinforcing key takeaways in a way a note pad with your logo on the bottom never can. They can even be printed on mugs or placemats—truly merch for the mind! #graphicrecording #visualstorytelling #visualmeetings #scribing

#Marketingkawkaw continues today. Here's what happens before each module. 1. Poster Every module has its own. We put our resident Kuli to work. Producing artwork for content creation days prior. 2. Attendance Fish sends out a reminder to those who signed up. Details such as the upcoming topic and the panellist are mentioned. This is to manage the expected crowd for space management. 3. Setup The team gathers a day earlier. Arrangements of chairs are decided based on the number of signups. Setting up the camera, tripod and lighting is next. All seems prim and proper. Plans executed accordingly. Ensuring our checklist of items is completed. Having fun is part of the recipe. Very important to sustain our passion. Where commitment to deliver is balanced with the joy of doing so. Here's evidence of such moments. A rare #behindthescenes footage. They don't come easily. But we manage to capture some now and then. No prizes for guessing who caught this on video. Do you enjoy what you do? We do. #choobub

I like creating something out of nothing. This includes projects, artistic work and whatever else pops into my mind.
❓Have you heard about The Fridge? The biggest contributor to perfectionism are our own fears of not doing good enough. When it comes to creating art, we often postpone, procrastinate, talk ourselves out of it. ⏲️The Fridge is an online two-weeks challenge where you're invited to create anything loosely or strictly connected to the topic of the edition. The idea behind The Fridge was to let go of this idea of crafting something perfect - all it had to do is form into an idea, and then be translated into reality. No expectations, no limiting beliefs. Yesterday we wrapped up the very first Fridge edition, the topic being "orange". You can check out the creations at creatosphere.org/fridge - and there you can find the topic of the second edition, "circles". You don't need to be an artist, do a professional job or adhere to some strict ideas of what creativity should be - all you need is yourself and your limiting beliefs so you can have a conversation with them and see what comes out of it.

⚡️The Making of GriefSick⚡️ (Sound on in the video for full gorgeousness!) 🍄 Work that comes to you through deep, transformative life experience… 🍄 Work that feels collective rather than individual… 🍄 A creative idea that is illuminated by an experience with mushrooms… Needs an intentional process and nourishing conditions to bring it to life. To create GriefSick, we didn’t take a straightforward strategy, design or branding approach (an approach that Laura Malan, Fran Cook and I know deeply). This process needed something much more emergent. I was lucky to cross paths with Laura, who worked alongside me to dream into and creatively “doula” the GriefSick idea, and then bring it to life visually with Fran in a process that felt full of care, ease and joy. Thank you Laura and Fran, I couldn’t have launched GriefSick without you! 💕 🌱 Laura Malan : Like any seed we want to grow, we focused on creating fertile conditions for GriefSick, exploring how the right spaces and conditions could support a creative idea to unfurl in the way that it wanted to. We held creative strategy sessions by candlelight, giving space to the idea and what it could become. We worked with plant allies and incorporated energy work that helped unblock creative lifeforce. We held design sessions in the forest, rather than under fluorescent lighting, trusting that the brand would emerge organically without the pressure of a linear design process, artificial deadlines or unnecessary urgency 🌈 Fran Cook : Laura and I collaborated on the art direction for GriefSick, creating a bold visual identity inspired by chronic illness, radical protest and Disability Justice art. We created just the right assets to help the idea lift off into the world (for Substack and social media), allowing us to build out the brand as GriefSick grows into other forms. I’d would love to hear your thoughts and questions on the process. How was your weekend? Did you spend it relaxing or working? I visited The Creative Craft Fair at The Assembly House in Norwich on Sunday. Such a stunning building inside and out. I love the fountain ⛲️ . The craft fair was in 2 rooms with a brilliantly curated mix of crafts and creative businesses. It was lovely to see so many local creatives that I know 🙂. How is your week going so far? What is one business or social media goal you want to achieve this week? ~ Katie #socialmediamarketing #goalsetting #norfolkbusinesses #norfolkbusiness
