AIGA Design Podcast: Designing a Better Tomorrow 🌎 In the recent episode of AIGA’s Design Podcast, hosts Lee-Sean Huang and Giulia Donatello chat with Scott Doorley and Carissa Carter from the Stanford d.school about their new book, Assembling Tomorrow. “All design begins as fiction. So everything is imagined before it is created. So if we’re writing a book about Assembling Tomorrow, part of our job, then, is to imagine some possible futures and try them on before we commit to any one.” Scott and Carissa leave us with a question: What do YOU want to change in the world? 🎧 Tune in now to hear their thoughts on speculative design, the future of AI, and how we can craft a better tomorrow: https://lnkd.in/di-Zp4Tu

Mark Sackler, APF has published another great podcast. My skin crawls and listening to myself waffle on, but Mark is quite a good editor. Thank you, Mark. From his landing page: "If you’re asking if artificial intelligence will work for us or against us, you may be asking the wrong question. The key, according to Dennis Draeger of Shaping Tomorrow, is to design AI to collaborate with us. In this episode, we discuss this and other related issues involving working with A.I." “I’d rather see artificial intelligence than no intelligence.”–Michael Crichton https://lnkd.in/gg2BjwMz #artificialintelligence #ethicalai #strategicforesight #humancollaboration #shapingtomorrow

Do you want to hear something crazy! This Podcast about Combinability of Insureds was made with AI! The content is pulled from one very detailed article which I will site here for those interested. That article is then put into a program called Notebook.LM, which in a matter of minutes put together a full 12 minute podcast on the material. If you aren't blown away by the first minute I will be shocked. Give it a listen and do remember I didn't write any of this and I didn't change anything that AI put on the podcast. If you like this please share it and if you want to see more please like and leave a comment with what topic you want to hear next. Lately I've been devouring podcasts. Recommendations welcome! I'll start. Last night I listened to 3 episodes of "Me, Myself, and AI". The hosts, who come from academia (MIT) and consulting (Boston Consulting Group) pose the question: "If AI is so great, why have only 10% of companies succeeded with it?" Each episode has a guest from a fancy Fortune 100 company who shares their story of implementing AI into their workflows. The episodes are short but dense (thank you), and straightforward enough that a layperson (like myself) can easily understand the concepts. Here's a little tidbit: The second biggest issue after accounting for errors and learning time, can be the lack of trust humans in the organization have for AI. The success or failure of a program can be heavily influenced by how well the company can manage organizational change. It's a classic new tech, old problem scenario. Happy Tuesday. 🤖
