It's a really interesting dynamic in the creative industry when every single creative on the planet despises Adobe, yet their software permeates our industry down to the damn bedrock. I wonder if Adobe understands just how badly the entire industry would love nothing more than to jump ship away from their ecosystem. Their actions, behaviors, pricing standards, and IP policies (regardless of retraction) show that they view the customer as nothing more than a money sponge they can squeeze as much as they want, whenever they want. I know in other sections of the creative industry people are making the switch to competing software in the trades of their choice. To my fellow motion designers, do any of you actually feel comfortable making the switch to something else other than After Effects? #adobe #aftereffects #creative #creativeindustry #motiondesign #design #motionlovers #motiongraphics

#AdobeStudentRep #AdobeCampusLife #MadeInExpress #BrandPartner #AbstractArt Depictions - Part 2/3 Hello, everyone! This is the next installment of an experiment to see how “Effects”, “Adjustments”, and other features of #AdobeExpress can change your interpretation of an image. In this case, I experimented with the concept of importance through an abstract perspective. "1." to "3." were specifically inspired by #movies and #televisionshows. The following are four depictions of importance: 1. COLD & CALCULATING 🔵 I added a dark blue “Tint” to the image 📊 “Highlights” were maximized, while other “Adjustments” were lowered significantly 😎 “Sharpness” was added 🎬 Black bars were added to simulate a cinematic effect 😿 The lighting gives a somber appearance 2. CLAUSTROPHOBIC 🙅♂️ No “Tint” was added 📉 “Contrast”, “Brightness”, and “Saturation” were lowered significantly 🎞️ The black bars increased in size, reducing the overall view of the speaker and audience 🎭 The lighting gives a dramatic appearance 3. DESOLATE 🟤 I added a greenish-brown “Tint” to the image ♨️ “Warmth” was significantly increased, while other “Adjustments” were lowered 🌫️ “Blur” was added 🙅♂️ Black bars were omitted 🧟 The lighting gives an ominous appearance 4. CONFIDENCE 🟡 I added a yellow “Tint” to the image, with “Intensity” set to low 😎 “Sharpness” was added 📈 Most “Adjustments” were increased 🏞️ Lighting was made to appear natural What do you think of my interpretations? The #graphic of this post was made using Adobe Express, a product of Adobe. If you are attending Fanshawe College, you can use Adobe Express and other #CreativeCloud products for FREE. HOW HAVE I ONLY JUST REALISED THAT THIS WAS A THING. This automatically detects and cuts your footage up for you (or applies layer makers). This is going to change lives. And by 'lives' I mean change my life. It's not even a new feature either 🤦🏼. #aftereffects #creativecloud #adobe #motiondesign

Have you ever spent hours making stuff in Adobe After Effects? Yeah, Me neither. Nevertheless, here are some useful shortcuts in Adobe After Effects to make you faster. First things first, did you know that you can easily duplicate a layer by simply holding down the "Ctrl" key (or "Cmd" on Mac) and dragging the layer to a new location? Yup! This can save you much time than manually copying and pasting a layer. Another useful shortcut is the "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "D" combination, which will automatically split your layer into two parts at the current time marker. I spam this all the time. I love this one. Are you ready!? Listen to this. If you're working with multiple layers, it can be a pain to constantly scroll up and down to find the one you need. To make this process easier, you can use the "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "H" shortcut to quickly hide all layers except for the one you're currently working on. Boom! So there you have it; some quick and easy shortcuts will help you speed up your process in After Effects. Give them a try, and let me know how they work for you! #ae #aftereffects #timesavingtips #workflow #productivityhacks #aftereffectstips #motiondesigner

What's your Creative type? Took Adobe's creativity test suggested by Katidja Youssouf, MBA in her class. It was exciting and surprising to see everyone’s results! According to the test, I am a Visionary. It’s a great reminder of how diverse our creative strengths can be. Here is a link for the test https://lnkd.in/dzeQwCGP

The long wait is almost over! Adobe is finally addressing some crucial, long-awaited, massive updates this fall with Premiere Pro 2025. They are primarily focusing on enhancing both performance and usability as well as a strong focus on AI-powered tools. 💥 AI-powered workflows are taking center stage, with a focus on speed, usability, and creative freedom. Here’s a taste of what’s coming: 🔧 New Properties Panel: A game-changer, in my opinion! This panel dynamically adapts to the media you’re working with (video, audio, captions) and gives you instant access to frequently used tools like scale, position, and effects. No more digging through menus—everything you need is right where you want it! 🎨 Enhanced Color Management: Forget about LUTs! Premiere Pro 2025 will automatically transform RAW and log footage into consistent SDR and HDR formats. Color grading just got a whole lot easier. ⚡️ Faster Exports: ProRes exports will be up to 3x faster, plus playback and hardware acceleration for AVC, HEVC, and more! ✨ Generative Extend: Need to extend a clip? Premiere Pro will generate new frames to smooth out transitions or adjust pacing. 💻 AI Object Removal and Addition: Say goodbye to unwanted objects in your shots or add elements to enhance your scenes with AI-driven masking and tracking. 📽 Generative B-Roll: You’ll soon be able to generate custom b-roll from just a text prompt, saving time and making the impossible possible. And let’s not forget the slick new design and accessibility features—two dark modes, a light mode, and a high-contrast option for even more customization. Personally, I’m most excited for that new Properties Panel! Which update are you most excited about? #PremierePro2025 #VideoEditing #AIInEditing #AdobeUpdates #PostProduction

Adobe MAX Now this is a conference I’ve dreamt of attending since forever. Ever since I was in art & design college and up till now - 25 years later - I still LOVE Adobe and all it’s offerings. Sure, I’m also appreciative for the existence of Canva but… I can’t live without my Adobe subscription. Someday, I will attend the conference in person. But till that day comes. I make sure I carve out time to attend Adobe MAX online when it comes round. I’m glad it’s usually around my birthday. It’s like a giant nerd’s birthday present to myself. This time round - the programming is - as expected - emphasising a lot of topics on AI and it makes sense. So many interesting things but at the same time - I love my ol’ skool back to basic topics that centre on Graphic Design (once a GD, always a GD) like Aaron Draplin’s Old Dog, New Tricks. Some of the sessions I’ll be attending; 1. Aaron Draplin: Old Dog, New Tricks 2. A Manifesto for Collaboration 3. Asia Pacific Inspiration Keynote 4. Asia Pacific Opening Keynote (maybe) 5. Beating Algorithms: Social Strategies for Driving Growth 6. Creativity Super Session: Graphic Design 7. Creativity Super Session: Human-Centered AI Strategies for Creative Leaders 8. Ideas to Images: A Creative Journey There’s a lot more that pique my interest but I’m being greedy and there’s only so much time in the day. In fact, I’m going to have to actually pick and choose when the time comes as some sessions clash. I can only imagine how I’d be if I were to attend in person! Like a kid in a candy store. Anyone else attending or have such giddy feelings as I do for Adobe MAX? I might be alone on this one - and that’s ok :) #avividworldconsultancy #brandingspecialist #marketingstrategist #theideaswizard
