One of the pitfalls in hiring a Webflow Designer is that the requirement is often "A designer who can design a website as well as build in Webflow". While on the surface this can seem like cost-saving endeavour, it can also be at a huge detriment to your website... it's important to note that in a high number of cases (and in my personal experience) a designer will not have a deep understanding of how to build a truly RESPONSIVE, ACCESSIBLE and SEO-FRIENDLY website. They will also not fully understand the pitfalls of a tool like Webflow and while many things can be done, they often shouldn't. ❗This could cause major security/performance issues when implemented❗ From a development perspective there's a strong 'hacky' mentality in the Webflow community that while the designer means well, they don't realise the full extent of what they are doing. ❗They are just focused on the visual output of their work❗ I'm a realist, It's important to get your business underway and costs saved where you can, but just note that if you have a strong requirement for technical prowess to carry your website forward, consider AT LEAST a developer consultant to review and advise against your Webflow designers work. At most, hire a designer to design for the best quality and a developer who is competent in Webflow who understands the impact of their work against business requirements.

Webflow Designer vs Webflow Developer Okay, have you ever been confused by people calling themselves “Webflow Designer” or “Webflow Developer”? I always wondered what the real difference between these two roles is. Today, let's dive deep and clear up this doubt once and for all. Webflow Designer A Webflow Designer primarily focuses on the creative aspects of web design. They typically use Figma (or similar tools) to design websites and have the skills to convert these designs into a functional website in Webflow. Their responsibilities include: - Creating visually appealing designs in Figma. - Converting designs into working websites. - Arranging the structure and ensuring responsiveness. Webflow Developer A Webflow Developer, on the other hand, not only converts designs into functional websites but also has the knowledge and skills to customize the site with custom code, integrate APIs, and handle advanced configurations. Their responsibilities include: - Converting designs into functional websites. - Adding custom code for further customization. - Integrating with APIs and handling advanced configurations. This role is more focused on the technical side of the process. Now that we know the real differences between these two roles, which one do you align with more? Or maybe you cover both roles? I'll start: I began as a designer, but with my passion of development, I love customizing and tweaking elements to create something unique. If you're a freelance Webflow developer or designer, here's something to keep in mind: Never let your client have to ask for progress updates. Trust me, consistent updates go a long way in building trust and confidence. Here’s why it matters: Transparency: Clients love knowing where their project stands, without having to chase you down. Trust: Regular updates show that you're reliable and on top of things. Efficiency: Spotting and addressing issues early prevents any last-minute chaos. Communication is a learnable skill, and it’s one that can transform your client relationships, and this applies in any workplace too! Just make it a habit, and you'll see the difference. #Webflow #WebflowDesign #WebflowDevelopment #WebDesign #WebDesigner #WebDevelopment #WebsiteDesign

So, you want to be a Webflow site designer/developer? Here’s my ten cents. 1. Learn how to ask the right questions, set a launch plan and project manage effectively. 2. Take your time to upskill and focus on finessing your skills so you grow confidence. 3. Remember that the last 10% takes 90% of the time, be patient. 4. Set-up is easy, delivery is the hard part – so make sure you can manage expectations and adapt your plan. 5. Get feedback from peers – even “experts” keep learning. 6. Keep practicing. The Webflow World needs less web developers who can’t deliver, and call themselves “website designers” when they follow cookie-cutter templates. This is why there are so many shite sites being built on Webflow right now. We need more people who are willing to learn and put in the graft. That’s what distinguishes real designers from the frauds imo. Cheers, Your Web Friend. #WebDevelopment #WebDesign

🎯 Handling Multiple Projects as a Webflow Developer This can be a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be chaotic. Here’s where many developers go wrong: Skipping the planning phase and diving in without a clear structure leads to missed deadlines and rushed worked Neglecting effective client communication and Failing to prioritize Here’s how I approach project management differently: ✅ I break every project into actionable tasks, ensuring clarity and focus. ✅ I focus on high-priority tasks first to keep projects on track. ✅ Regular updates and open communication ensure alignment with my clients. My structured workflow allows me to handle multiple projects without sacrificing quality. This approach has allowed me to deliver exceptional results on time. If you’re looking for a Webflow developer who values efficiency, quality, and client collaboration Send me a Dm! I’m open to new projects #webflow #projectmanagement #efficiency #growth #design
