Here are some free-ish resources that can help you with a basic risk assessment - ❓ Does the business event exist? - Each state in the US has a Secretary of State or equivalent office where you can look up registered businesses. It has the largest open database of companies in the world ❓ Is the business scammy? - Ripoff Report: This platform allows consumers to file and read complaints about businesses.
