The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to begin its space tourism industry in the third quarter of 2025, with flights starting at Rs45.5 million (UAE Dh600,000). Spearheaded by European space firm EOS-X Space, the initiative will feature flights from Abu Dhabi and Spain using pressurized capsules lifted by eco-friendly helium balloons. The capsules, nearing completion, will be validated with military pilots and accommodate up to eight people for a five-hour trip to the edge of the stratosphere. Unlike other space tourism experiences, EOS-X Space offers a week-long program including cultural, gastronomic, and wellness experiences. The company aims to attract high-net-worth individuals, with global revenue projections reaching $353 million in the launch year and $1.127 billion by 2029. Google says; Quote: An “unfair advantage” in business refers to a distinct competitive edge or advantage that a company possesses, giving it an upper hand over its rivals in the market. This advantage is often considered unfair because it goes beyond what is commonly available or accessible to competitors. Unquote. ☆☆☆☆☆ Attended the "Saudi Airport Exhibition 2024" with reportedly over 200 companies participating in the event; showcasing their latest products and services' offerings to industry players, clients, #businessowners, #consultants, #airlines, etc in the Saudi and the aviation #gulf market (if not #global aviation industry). By participating in this year #Saudi Airport Exhibition; these 200 companies have come and exhibit their 'unfair advantages' over their rivals (those companies who did not participate in this event). Saw radical☆☆☆☆☆ improvements from last year's event: ☆It seems more foreign companies participating including from Europe, China, etc. ☆ More local companies' presence ☆Previously less known brands have come to surface with wide variety of products under one roof ☆Latest airport #technology like #radar for #tracking #wildlife #birds and #drones that caught my eyes ☆One-stop airport solutions company displayed their #cuttingedge technology ☆#airport #consultants (global and regional) ☆#VR, #AI #innovations ☆#airport #seats #furniture ☆#airlines #hospitality #booths ☆etc. ☆Merrier, more vibrant and higher #energy Congratulations to the Saudi Airport Exhibition organisers (and participants)! for making this event meaningful; where networking done in record time (in 2 mins! for me at least), knowledge sharings took place and; hopefully more future opportunities created. ~Met with Egis Dubai colleague at Egis booth. The future of Advanced Aerial Mobility (AAM) is here!

𝗗𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗘? In a few days the 23rd edition of annual #EBACE takes place at the Palexpo in Geneva hosted by European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and National Business Aviation Association. The main concept is about a trade show within #businessaviation, mainly business to business and a static display presenting latest #privatejet models. Since its inception in year 2000 the show always took place at Geneva airport having the convenience of an static display for aircraft at the airport, a large multi-hall exhibition and conference center all within walking distance. I have personally attended more than a dozen of these events. My question is whether we still need such a format or whether the time has come for a change. The show has certainly constantly improved and has become better and better over the years. However, this has been more of an iterative improvement process than an evolution. I strongly think the format is at its end hence neither one of our GlobeAir #DreamTeam nor me are attending this year. My observation over the last few years has been that more and more well-known #bizav companies and service providers are pulling out and no longer exhibiting, for various reasons, hugely driven by exploding costs. This year well known #businessjet OEMs Bombardier and Gulfstream Aerospace pulled out too. I know #EBAA is appreciating those signals and evaluating future options but nothing materialised yet. My very personal opinion is that this current format is at its end and a totally new approach is very much needed. Our business avation industry still speaks too much within the peer group, but for my taste more visibility to the end user and the public is needed to demonstrate the multiple values this industry brings to society and the #economy. What are my peers thinking about this?

Week 21 drop-in flight activity in some key geographies, notably California, Germany, Saudi Arabia, China and Morocco. It was notable that the blue riband event for European bizav, the Monaco Grand Prix, drew 15% fewer bizjet visits than in 2019. Europe 🇪🇺 +10% vs previous week -1% vs '23 So far in May European bizjet activity is 1% below May last year, holding steady at 7% above 2019. Domestic bizjet activity in Italy 🇮🇹 is ahead of the last 5 years, contrast Germany 🇩🇪 where bizjets are flying 23% fewer domestic flights than in May last year.
