Hi all, I pledge to walk/run an extra 10km for every $100 donating to my page for the remainder of this #Movember fundraising. Here are some updates from my side in these two weeks. - My Mo is growing, see attached photo - My company's team has raised $6018 on our way to the $9103 target - I raised $587 toward the $1550 target (I NEED YOUR DONATION) - I have walked 71km to date, surpassing my 60km goal - I exercised 3 times per week. In return for your generosity and support and to meet the fundraising goal, I pledge to walk 10km for every $100 donating to my page for the remainder of this fundraising, and I pledge to complete this by December 15, 2024. This means if I reach the fundraising target, I will be walking an additional 120km. I also pledge to exercise 5 times per week for the remainder of this campaign. Mouth cancer is one of the fastest growing types of cancer, but early detection can save lives. We encourage everyone to regularly check their mouth for any unusual signs like sores, patches, or lumps, and to see a doctor or dentist immediately if anything is found. LinkedIn friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, I’ve decided to lace up my running shoes again this month, embrace the sweat, and run 100 miles in July for a cause close to my heart: Cancer Research UK (CRUK), with a specific focus on early diagnosis as in most cases the earlier we diagnose Cancer, the greater our chance of beating it. Coming up to the end of week two, I'm on 29 miles, but I'll be past 50 by the end of the week and on track to hit 100 and beyond! I'm proud to say that I'm not doing this challenge alone. I'm joined by some absolute legends from work: Rob Winter, Sophie Andrews, Catherine Gwilliam, Ben Leslie, Garry Hughes, Nick Loxton & Olly Simpson. Why 100 miles? Because running 101 seemed excessive...... My Goal? To raise £500. That's £5 from 100 people or £10 from 50 people, or, well, you get the idea. Every penny counts, and your support, as always, keeps me going and raises funds for this worthy cause. How Can You Help? Donate: Any amount, big or small, will make a huge difference. At our charity, we see bravery in many forms. When people think about courage in the face of cancer, they often imagine bold, fierce battles. But there’s another side to bravery—one that’s quieter, more personal, and equally powerful. A cancer diagnosis reshapes life in ways few can imagine, requiring not just strength, but a deep, quiet courage to face each day. This courage shows up in the little moments: in getting up each morning, showing up to appointments, handling moments of uncertainty, and simply allowing oneself to feel everything without judgment. Quiet courage is about allowing yourself to take life day by day, and sometimes minute by minute. It’s choosing to reach out for support when you need it, asking for help, and being honest about the struggles you’re facing. It’s okay to feel vulnerable, scared, and uncertain. High Survival Rates: Nearly all men survive testicular cancer. 3. Symptoms: Look for painless lumps or changes in testicles. 4. Risk Factors: Include undescended testicles, family history, and previous cancer. 5. Effective Treatments: Chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery are highly effective, especially when started early.

Countdown to Impact: 5 Days Left in the April Head and Neck Cancer Alliance Move-a-thon 🏃♀️🙏 As the sun sets on this pivotal month, our shared journey of compassion and support takes on a more urgent pace. There are just 5 days left to contribute to a cause that’s much more than a statistic; it's a lifeline for those battling head and neck cancer. I set out with an ambition – a concise, yet significant goal of raising $150 through the Move-a-thon. This sum symbolizes hope – the equivalent of a night at a hotel for a travelling patient or easing the burden covering some essentials on treatment day. Each donation is a beacon of comfort, providing essentials like a gas card, parking, lunch, and sometimes the priceless gift of child care. While the road ahead is paved with possibility, the present moment reflects a challenging truth. I currently stand at 83% of my fundraising target. "The distance between where we are and where we aspire to be is measured not in miles but in moments of generosity." I humbly ask you to consider the value of your daily coffee – could it instead fund a gesture of immense value?
