Gathering intelligence is critical to the Air Force’s mission. It’s also an essential component of this month’s live Aim Hire webinar, as we bring together civilian intelligence professionals from across the Air Force to discuss current and future job opportunities in this rapidly growing field. They will detail the skills, qualifications, and security clearances needed to land them. If you’ve ever wondered what it is like to play a key role in America’s intelligence community, we invite you to be a part of ours on Wednesday, July 3, at 6 p.m. CT (7 p.m. ET; 4 p.m. PT). Although this is a previously recorded encore presentation, recruiters will be on hand throughout the program to answer your questions in chat. Register today at https://lnkd.in/eWzWtgSP

In a comparison between the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and the US Army recruitment, prolonged duration for joining the CAF contrasts starkly with the US Army's more expedited process, where the average time for enlistment is notably shorter. Streamlining the recruitment process by conducting security screenings concurrently with basic training could potentially address the prolonged timeline issue. By thinking outside the box and adopting such measures, the CAF could enhance efficiency and attract more recruits. This could be a significant step in improving the overall effectiveness and readiness of the Canadian military forces.

"Clearance Levels in the US Department of Defense: A Brief Overview” - Under 150 words! In the intricate world of national security, clearance levels play a pivotal role. The US Department of Defense (DoD) categorizes clearances into several tiers, each granting access to classified information based on the level of sensitivity and need-to-know. The spectrum ranges from Confidential, for information that could cause damage to national security if disclosed, to Top Secret, for data that could cause exceptionally grave damage. Additionally, Special Access Programs (SAPs) offer access to highly sensitive information beyond Top Secret. These clearances are granted based on rigorous background checks, including personal history, finances, and foreign contacts. The process ensures only trusted individuals gain access to vital information, safeguarding the nation's security interests. Understanding these clearance levels is vital for those seeking careers within the defense sector and underscores the gravity of protecting classified information." #DoDclearance #NationalSecurity #DefenseSector #ClearanceLevels #USMilitary #ClassifiedInformation #SecurityClearance #TopSecret #LinkedIn #CareerDevelopment #GovernmentJobs #SecurityProtocols

The DoD integrated primary prevention workforce is very young. Those of us in that field are still trying to figure it out. Primary prevention science is also very young. The civilian/private sector is not even close to accomplishing what the Department of Defense is doing now. Further, OSD directed the hiring of multiple integrated primary prevention positions and multiple levels (level 1-5). It’s now codified in policy for the prevention of harmful behaviors (DODI 6400.09) and the establishment of the integrated primary prevention workforce (DODI 6400.11). Positions will cross GS pay bands GS-7 to GS-15. There is a lot of movement occurring in this area. The level of expertise ranges from basic to complex. If you are a member of the IPPW, then your connection and work cannot be understated towards the recruitment of professionals that we need in this field. For those who are interested in integrated primary prevention work, we need you no matter what sector you were in. Military (national and global) readiness depends upon your ability to execute these duties.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗨.𝗦. 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 $𝟰𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 Recently, a serious case emerged involving a U.S. Army soldier, who also served as an intelligence analyst, admitting to selling sensitive information about U.S. military capabilities to a hostile entity. The soldier in question, Korbein Schultz, received at least $42,000 for the documents he leaked, which included classified content on rocket systems and Chinese military tactics. 𝙎𝙤, 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙? The internal threat in this case wasn't about stolen money, but rather classified information leaking to hostile actors. This highlights the importance of effective deterrence. If the organization had declared upfront and conducted periodic checks on employees in sensitive positions—like polygraph tests, monitoring external activities, and tracking any suspicious inquiries—it's likely Schultz would never have dared to start. The truth is that an internal threat isn't just an economic risk—it can also be an information risk, and it’s often much more dangerous. Deterrence starts with a declaration, continues with periodic checks, and ends with prevention. Most people won't even consider engaging in such actions if they know they’re being regularly monitored. This not only prevents damage, but also protects the security of the organization and the nation. #InternalThreats #DataSecurity Full article: [Link to article in the comments]
