The ability for production and the number of production, as a warfighter, obviously I would love more.” Various think tanks, including the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies, and former heads of Global Strike Command have called for as many as 150-225 B-21s to maintain the pace of operations necessary to successfully conduct a war with a near-peer adversary like China. https://lnkd.in/ecCJs7Xu

General Mark A. Milley is the 20th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff USA Army. Geostrategic competition and rapidly advancing technology are driving fundamental changes to the character of war. Our opportunity to ensure that we maintain an enduring competitive advantage is fleeting. We must modernize the Joint Force to deter our adversaries, defend the United States, ensure future military advantage, and, if necessary, prevail in conflict. The Joint Force has taken the first step by developing and publishing the Joint Warfighting Concept (JWC) and updating Joint Publication 1, Doctrine for the Armed Forces of the United States. The JWC is a joint, combined vision for how the U.S. military will operate across all domains. The next step is to create a leadership structure that turns concepts into capabilities. The Joint Force must make fundamental changes now to win the next war and, by doing so, we will deter the war from happening in the first place.

Military writers often overcapitalize. It's not all our fault. The military tries to convince us that capitalizing certain words, like "Army" and "Soldier," signals respect or importance. But it doesn't--it just makes things awkward when we write for non-military people. Here are some tips for avoiding common errors: Do not capitalize initialisms... the joint planning process (JPP), multidomain operations (MDO), commanding general (CG) ...except for proper nouns the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Do not capitalize ranks and titles... the division commander, the colonel, the sergeant major ...unless they precede a name Colonel Smith, Sergeant Major Jones Do not capitalize units... the company, the corps, the squadron ...unless it's a unit name A Company, III Corps, 1st Squadron Finally, do not capitalize a word to make it seem important.

PKSOI's Director COL Liddick and Mr. Travis Bolio recently joined several Army leaders to write an article that is now published in the Military Review: BG Matt Metzel, (Deputy Commanding General (Operations), 200th Military Police Command); COL Heiva Kelly (Director, Strategic Initiatives Group, US Army Reserve); and LTC(P) Rob Greiner (Strategist, TRANSCOM JECC). This writing expands on FM 3-0 by further defining the meaning and subsequent value that consolidation of gains provides to the Army and the Joint Force. It begins by defining the purpose for consolidating gains and then briefly describes how the term has been modified over time while maintaining a place of prominence within the Army’s mission. The article applies examples from doctrine and recent experience to demonstrate the utility of consolidating gains in preparation for deterring and winning war. Finally, this writing identifies the risk incurred should gains be poorly consolidated and concludes by offering tools and approaches for future consideration. #ICYMI The Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) High Frequency (HF) Gateway Team collaborated with Joint Tactical Network Center personnel to compete in the International competition, the Noble Skywave exercise Oct. 25-26. Coordinated by its military's Canadian Communications and Electronics (C&E) Branch, the event included military participants from 19 different countries: active duty US Army, United States Army Reserve, Army National Guard and service members from all branches of the Armed Forces and North Atlantic Treaty Organization partners and allies. 🌟 Exciting Update from the C4ISR USA Conference! 🚀 🎙️Mr. Joseph Welch, Director, C5ISR Center, provided remarks at the C4ISR USA Conference, hosted by the Institute for Defense & Government Advancement, 15-16 NOV in Pentagon City, VA. The conference is one of the most prestigious strategic forums for the U.S. military and its partners, bringing together more than 200 senior decision-makers from the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Joint Staff.
