These are the tasks Zelensky set for Syrskyi and the renewed leadership of the Armed Forces: ▪️to present a realistic, detailed plan for 2024; ▪️arm every combat brigade on the first line with Western weapons; ▪️solve the problem of logistics; ▪️build an effective system of rotations in the army; ▪️improve the quality of training for soldiers; ▪️correct the excessive number of staff in the headquarters.

Happening now! CSM Sellers is hosting the Sustainment Leading Change Summit at Fort Gregg-Adams, with more than 65 Army Sustainment Enterprise nominative command sergeants major and sergeants major attending the event. The summit allows senior leader to share lessons learned and best practices across multi-domain operational environments in support of large-scaled combat operations. The SLCS is a platform that codifies requirements that are synchronized with the four focus areas: 1. Warfighting 2. Delivering Ready Combat Formations 3. Continuous Transformation 4. Strengthening the Profession.

“Show me where it’s written.” A unique challenge to tactical S&C professionals is navigating the bureaucracy of the decision makers. Virtually every major decision and/or allocation of resources (time included) in the military can be linked to a specific standing order and/or directive. In the Canadian Armed Forces the majority of the information regarding physical training can be found in DAOD 5023-1 & -2, CFP 154 - Annex D MOSID Task Statements - Appendix 1, and the BALANCE physical performance strategy. Not every command team you encounter is going to be receptive to an “outsider” telling them how to physically train their personnel. Few things will diminish your credibility faster than telling these individuals they “have” to, or something is “crucial”, or even important without having an understanding of policies, like the ones above, that surround the topic. To truly be a SME in this field you must learn how to blend performance and practicality with policy. #military #tacticaltraining #strengthandconditioning #sme
