World Hydrogen Congress could not be coming at a better time as the past few weeks have brought a flurry of activities related to the European Commission's Hydrogen Bank Auction. With over €800 million in subsidiaries to support a faster rollout of hydrogen technologies, the fund will contribute to the REPowerEU Plan goal to produce 10 million tonnes of hydrogen domestically by 2030. Technologies for CO2 capture, transport, usage and permanent storage are essential for decarbonising industrial processes, especially in carbon-intensive sectors. Air Liquide is proud to be part of the HERCCULES project, "Heroes in Southern Europe to Decarbonize Industry with CCUS", a 5-year project (2023-2027) funded by the European Commission with the aim to promote and accelerate a first-of-a-kind industrial-scale CCUS chain in Southern Europe. In the frame of the project, Air Liquide will contribute by: ➡ Supplying the oxygen necessary to conduct the test campaigns ➡Managing the CO2 transport from the capture sites to the Ravenna storage Hub and other industrial sites for conventional utilization purposes ➡Providing a benchmark of the CO2 capture technologies utilized in the project with the solutions already in use on a large scale, to enable the industrialization of the full CCUS value chain   #HorizonEU #HERCCULESproject #decarbonisation
