🚨 New insights about multi-hour ads on YouTube 🚨 #Google has officially denied rumors that #YouTube deliberately shows unskippable, hours-long ads to users with ad blockers. What’s really happening? 🔍 YouTube representatives clarified that these ad “marathons” result from bugs in ad blockers, which either hide the "Skip" button or misprocess ads, disrupting the platform's normal functioning. Why does it matter? 🤔 YouTube emphasized that ads are a vital revenue source for creators. Using ad blockers violates platform policies and may lead to restricted access to content. What do users think? 📊 1️⃣ Some recommend refreshing the page and continuing to use ad blockers. 2️⃣ Others suggest supporting #creators via YouTube Premium or watching ads, as this ensures fair compensation for their hard work. #creator #youtubecreator

YouTube's New "Pause Ads" Feature: A Disruptive Move? YouTube is reportedly introducing a new advertising feature called "Pause Ads," which will display ads on the screen whenever users pause a video. This change is a significant departure from the traditional viewing experience and has raised concerns about user privacy and satisfaction. While YouTube claims that "Pause Ads" will be less intrusive than traditional ad formats, many viewers may find this feature to be disruptive and annoying. Pausing a video is often a deliberate action to take a break, process information, or address a distraction. Introducing ads during these moments could negatively impact user experience and lead to decreased engagement. It remains to be seen how users will react to this new feature. If it proves to be unpopular, YouTube may need to reconsider its implementation or find alternative ways to monetize its platform. What are your thoughts on YouTube's "Pause Ads"? YouTube's ploy to blame ad blockers for underpaid creators is as transparent as a freshly cleaned window. Mobile users now face the frontline of YouTube's war on ad blockers, with buffering issues and error messages as the battleground. But don't worry, YouTube assures us it's all about supporting creators. Yet, their solution? Fork over $13.99 a month for a "premium" ad-free experience. For years, ad-blocking tools slipped right under their radar. But the moment Google's ad revenue took a dip, YouTube's crackdown on ad blockers magically intensified. Coincidence? However, this could benefit advertisers by potentially increasing ad visibility and engagement rates among users who do not utilize ad-blocking software. Additionally, premium subscriptions provide an opportunity for advertisers to tailor their messaging to a more receptive audience segment that actively seeks ad-free content. #YouTube #Adblokers #Mobile #Google

To ad or not to ad? That’s the question. Seems youtube is making “skipping” an advert more , shall we say, challenging! Big news! YouTube is launching thumbnail A/B testing 🧪 - The world's biggest YouTuber Mr. Beast (James Donaldson) made headlines earlier this year when it came out that his team creates up to 50 thumbnail ideas per video, and test +20 after going live 🚀 Effective thumbnails are crucial on YouTube because they significantly boost click-through rates, viewer engagement, and video visibility in a highly competitive environment 📈 Now, there is some good news for content creators and marketers using YouTube. YouTube originally announced that it was developing its thumbnail A/B testing feature in June last year, which will provide a new way for channel managers to experiment with a key discovery element 🔍 Yesterday, they shared the news: “The long awaited thumbnail ‘Test and Compare’ feature has begun rolling out to creators with access to ‘Advanced Features.’” Given that big YouTubers like MrBeast test and compare up to 20 thumbnail variations for every upload, there just might be something to it. #youtube #socialmedia #marketing

YouTube is taking a more aggressive approach against adblockers in 2025, introducing unskippable ads that can sometimes last longer than the videos users want to watch. Despite its status as one of the most popular entertainment platforms, YouTube has always relied on an ad-supported model, offering free access to content while encouraging users to subscribe to Premium for an ad-free experience. Since 2024, YouTube has significantly intensified its efforts to target users with ad blockers. The platform cracked down on users using location proxies for cheaper Premium subscriptions, modified apps like Vanced, and browser extensions that block ads. Google even implemented server-side ad injection and intentionally slowed down load times for suspected ad blocker users. As some users continued to find ways around these measures, YouTube escalated its tactics, leading to reports of incredibly long ads. Reddit users have reported seeing ads lasting anywhere from 58 minutes to 10 hours, with one user even claiming to encounter a 90-hour ad, though this was unverified. One Redditor shared an image showing a two-hour and 52-minute ad before a 49-minute video. Google has confirmed that its standard unskippable ads are still capped at 15 seconds on mobile and 60 seconds on TV. However, the company emphasized that ads are essential for supporting the platform and its creators. While YouTube doesn’t serve such long ads to regular users, Google suggested these excessive ads could be a tactic to deter adblocker usage. Some users believe the lengthy ads might be a glitch or caused by adblockers interfering with the platform’s normal ad-skipping function. Additionally, YouTube reserves the right to halt video playback entirely for users who refuse to adhere to its ad policies. . . . . . . . #InitiateMagazine #Initiate #Initiate #YouTube #Adblockers #UnskippableAds #AdRevenue #Google #AdPolicies #VideoAds #PremiumSubscriptions #DigitalAdvertising #StreamingPlatform #TechNews #OnlineVideos #ContentCreators #AdSupportedModel #YouTubePremium #AdblockerTactics #TechTrends #AdInjection #VideoPlayback #UserExperience #AdResistance

🕒 YouTube’s Response to Ad Blockers - Unskippable Ads: Viewers are reporting ads lasting from one to three hours, which cannot be skipped. Google justifies this by stating that ad blockers violate YouTube’s terms of service and affect creator revenue. Users are being encouraged to allow ads or subscribe to YouTube Premium. #DigitalMarketing #AdTech #YouTube #ContentCreation

Imagine a YouTube where users get rewarded for their time! We've all been there—watching ads before or during our favorite videos. But what if every second you spent watching those ads actually earned you something in return? Introducing a concept: Rewarding YouTube Users for Watching Ads. In this model, users would accumulate points or rewards for watching ads, which could be redeemed for premium services or other exclusive features. No longer just a passive viewer, you'd be earning value from your time spent on the platform! Imagine: Watching a few ads, and soon enough, you’ve unlocked an ad-free experience or access to premium content. For those who can’t or don’t want to pay for premium services, this creates a pathway to experience YouTube’s full potential—without ever opening your wallet. At the same time, it brings better engagement for advertisers and creates a win-win situation. This system can help build a more loyal user base, grow premium memberships, and ensure ads feel less intrusive because they come with direct value to the viewer. I believe this is the next step in respecting users’ time and offering more equitable experiences on digital platforms. What do you think about such a rewarding feature? Could this be the future of YouTube and other platforms? #YouTube #Ads #DigitalInnovation #UserEngagement #RewardingSystems #TechThoughts #PremiumExperience #UserValue

TikTok is now letting you upload videos up to 30 minutes long. Direct shot at YouTube. Here’s why this is the wrong move. If I had to guess, I would say TikTok is struggling to sell as many ads as they’d like. The ads they do sell are immediately skippable (for now) and advertisers are preferring to keep their ad budgets on Meta and Google. TikTok should stay in the short form market and be obsessed with figuring out how to run ads in a new way. Trying to be another YouTube just isn’t going to be interesting.

YouTube is now adding ads when users pause videos. 😱 Will it alter the viewing experience by introducing ads during breaks? While this could feel disruptive to some viewers, it opens new advertising opportunities for brands to engage users during paused moments. This change expands YouTube’s ad inventory and gives advertisers a fresh way to capture attention without interrupting the content itself. What do you think? #SEOPremier

There is a big problem with YouTube Ads We all have some sort of ads which spoil our experience while watching YouTube. By watching Ads we are paying the price of the content that we watch. But ads are not my problem, In fact I am a marketer so I know the importance of ads. My problem is that YouTube's algorithm doesn't understand when to stop showing ads to a user. Many times the ads by the same advertiser made us stressed and feel bad about that advertiser. There are 2 persons on YouTube whom I hate, one is Himanshu Agrawal and second is Sannidhya Baweja. Now I am not saying that I hate them on an individual level, I just don't like their ads. and I don't know why youtube is still showing me their ads, even when I have blocked their ads. The second problem is when we don't like a person we don't have an option to block that particular advertiser. The thing is that YouTube is a great platform, I have learned a lot of things through it. So I think It would be great if youtube showed me ads in which I genuinely may show interest and my experience also stays better.
