The Intermodal Congress IntermodalNews.pl will be held on June 12-14 in Janów Podlaski - the largest event of the intermodal industry in Poland. An excellent group of experts will take part in lectures and panel discussions, during which the challenges facing the intermodal transport industry in the near future will be discussed. Issues related to long-term decarbonization policy and modal changes in freight transport will also be discussed. Grupa SKAT will be represented by our vice president and managing director Bohdan Kozaczuk in the panel devoted to the role of road carriers in the economic transformation of Europe. #SKAT #Intermodalcongress

Look who made it again to Norwegian media... Yes, you guessed it right - it's us! 👇 During our RAG/TAG meeting in Narvik, President Linda Thulin and Norwegian Management Board member Oskar Stenström were interviewed by Roger Danielsen, a journalist from local newspaper Fremover AS, together with the Managing Director of Narvik Havn / Port of Narvik, Børge Edvardsen Klingan. 🎤 In the interview, our representatives highlighted that Narvik's inclusion into the ScanMed Corridor is not merely a symbolic move but will have a real impact on regional businesses such as the seafood industry as the RFC can provide new markets and speed up the delivery of goods, including fresh fish, to customers across Europe. 🐟🚞 By facilitating cross-border rail freight traffic and investing on international rail infrastructure - including the Ofotbanen - and innovation projects, we can ensure that even more remote areas such as Scandinavia's High North are better connected to the rest of the continent. 🛤 Now that Narvik joined the Corridor, we intend to extend our cooperation and customer outreach to Northern Norway to get more goods on rail and intermodal transport. We as an airport are proud to organize and lead the Aviation Working Group of the freight forwarder association as main platform of our cargo community work and collaboration in cargo developments, problem solving, and and industry representation channel (certainly in high coop with other associations). Our colleagues had a very fruitful day at the 𝟭𝟮𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 held in Sofia 8 October 2024. As usual, a great industry event showcasing its commitment to enhancing logistics and transportation solutions in the region. This year, focus was on the topics: ♦ How to gain a competitive edge: Strategies for building strong partnerships in a situation of quickly changing global supply chains; ♦ New rules vs. new opportunities: Cost, efficiency, and risk – what we must know about the latest EU regulations for sustainable business; ♦ Warehouse optimization through innovation: Intralogistics solutions and platforms for the future; ♦ Navigating complexity: Strategies for a resilient supply chain. The event provided an excellent platform for networking with industry leaders, sharing innovative ideas, and discussing the latest trends in logistics, particularly the growing emphasis on green transport solutions. It was encouraging and motivating to see how 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗲𝗰𝗼-𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆, 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

I’m looking forward to speaking at #RIEurope2024 tomorrow, sharing thoughts on how investors can make a start on nature, based on our own experience at Scottish Widows, including: 1. Understand exposure to nature related dependencies and impacts in your investment portfolio 2. Develop engagement priorities based on the outcomes of that analysis 3. Explore nature related investment opportunities across different asset classes (suitable for pension funds…) 4. Assess what meaningful nature related data is available from data providers and asset managers - and what you are going to do with it (action beyond reporting) 5. Look at tangible sub-themes such as water, waste and deforestation which may be easier to start with than a complex biodiversity footprint
