Acetal POM-C (Tecaform AH - Black) is an engineering thermoplastic that is commonly used for parts, and because of this its properties must be very stiff, it must have low surface friction and good dimensional stability. This plastic is known for having very good chemical resistance, it is difficult to bond, it has good slide and wear properties, good machinability, and it is not electrically insulating. #highlight #progowearsolutions #wearmanagement #proudmoments The fabrication of the 304L stainless was done in collaboration with (ProGO) Proconics General Overhauls (Pty) Ltd Sasolburg team, with Abraclad 60 wear liners on the inside. The chute was built to extend the life of the liners to ensure that no maintenance needs to be done over an 18-month period. Abraclad 60 chrome carbide liners last much longer than ordinary quench and tempered steel which means that much less steel is used for liners. It is a green solution because only steel is used. The liners last 5 times longer than quench and temper liners so the liners need to be replaced 5 times less. #TCO #abraclad
