The History of World Pilots’ Day History of World Pilots’ Day The first World Pilots’ Day was celebrated in 2013. Although World Pilots’ Day has a relatively brief history, it is highly significant. The Turkish Airline Pilots Association sought to highlight the importance in the history of aviation of Türkiye’s first pilot, Fesa Evrensev, who was born in 1878. Thus, the Association first declared April 26 as Pilots’ Day in 2013. Meanwhile, the International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA) had determined that a common special day for pilots around the world was necessary. As the IFALPA was aware of the importance of the first flight of Mehmet Fesa Evrensev on April 26, and Everensev’s subsequent place in the history of Turkish aviation, the Federation designated April 26 to be World Pilots’ Day in 2014 – exactly one year after the Turkish April 26 designation. Myths about private aviation After many years working as a private pilot, I still encounter a lot of confusion and uncertainty when discussing my job with people. Most of the time, they associate private flying with small planes and short distances. However, what many don't realize is that there are private aircraft with significantly superior performance, including ranges that surpass most commercial airliners. These jets are not only faster but can also cover longer distances, offering flexibility and efficiency that often exceeds what commercial aviation can provide. It is equally true that, after explaining in more detail exactly what my job entails, I receive a lot of interest and genuine appreciation for a profession that is probably not as well-know as that of airline pilots. Do you share the same experience? #aviation #pilots

Have you ever paused to reflect on the fact that when you step on board a plane, you're entrusting your life to the people in the cockpit? It's one of the highest forms of trust that exist. On commercial flights, the only connection you typically have with the pilots is when the captain greets you on board and thanks you for the flight close to landing. And now, some airlines even tend to take away this sole connection between the individuals responsible for passengers’ safety in the air. In private aviation, we often emphasize the quality of service, from the beautiful aircraft to the catering and the attentive stewards who ensure your comfort during travel, whether it's for you, your family, or your pets. But there's one more detail that, in my opinion, is a game changer. When you board a private jet, the captain, the first officer, and the stewards greet you warmly, inviting you on board as if welcoming you into their home. These individuals are not just responsible for your comfort; they're responsible for your safety throughout the entire journey. It's a genuine human touch that sets private aviation apart. Here, I'd like to highlight the crucial role of the operators who meticulously select and hire the most experienced crew members, individuals who have logged hundreds of hours in the air before being entrusted with the lives of those on board. In an era marked by automation and the removal of human involvement in many processes in the name of optimization, it's this personal touch that truly makes private aviation service unique and premium. And for me, that’s what simply cannot be substituted. #privateaviation #trust #premiumservice #humantouch #moccajet #jetcharter #crew #aircraft #broker #privateflight #safety

The challenge in this new era of aviation is the rapid growth, combined with the retirement of many experienced pilots and air traffic controllers. "Green on green" is a term you will be hearing as mistakes are made due to pure lack of experience in the aviation sector. ALWAYS having an experience air traffic controller, or pilot, PAIRED with an inexperienced co-worker is vital for the safety of aviation. We face serious consequences if we fail to recognize the risks of green on green.

When pilots lose autonomy or their stake in an airline, seniority systems can become more of a trap than a benefit. Pilots might stay out of necessity—bound by seniority that offers security but little satisfaction—leading to disengagement. The illusion of control by the company can result in reduced productivity and loyalty, ultimately hurting profits. Airlines that empower pilots with decision-making and clear paths to leadership roles foster a more engaged and motivated workforce. When autonomy is preserved, you not only keep experienced pilots, but you also secure long-term profitability. #aviation #pilot #pilotlife #flying #airplane #avgeek #futurepilot #aviationphotography #commercialpilot #privatepilot #airlines #atc #generalaviation #careergoals #aviationindustry #newpilot #sectormastery #aviationcareers #climbingtheladder #professionalpilot #growinginaviation

In the realm of business aviation, contracts can vary significantly, with some being favorable and others less so. As a mentor, my goal is to help you understand the significance of certain aspects so you can form your own opinion and determine if the proposed deal aligns with your expectations. This video delves into contracts and agreements within the European Business Aviation Industry. Duty days refer to the days when you are scheduled to work, including any associated responsibilities or tasks. Flying days, on the other hand, specifically pertain to the days when you are actively flying on the jet. Per diems, which cover expenses such as meals when you are away from your home base, are another vital component of many aviation contracts. Understanding the nuances of duty days, flying days, and per diems is crucial in navigating the diverse landscape of contracts that you may encounter. #privatejetcoach #businessaviation #europe #contracts #flightattendantlife #vip https://lnkd.in/eGiC-Zqn
