🌟 Self-worth is more than just a buzzword; it’s your internal belief in your own value as a human being. According to Merriam-Webster, it’s about knowing you are loved and having self-esteem. A strong sense of self-worth can transform how you navigate life. Here’s why it matters: It Provides Confidence: Positive self-worth boosts your confidence, helping you tackle setbacks without becoming overwhelmed. It Makes It Easier to Advocate for Yourself: Recognizing your value empowers you to speak up for what you need, especially in challenging environments. It Strengthens Your Mental Health: A strong self-worth helps fend off negative thoughts, creating a positive mental state amidst life's challenges. It Can Strengthen Your Relationships: Understanding your value leads to healthier, supportive relationships, allowing you to distance yourself from those that aren't good for you. It Can Help You Know Your Limits: Accepting your limitations means less pressure to be perfect, allowing for growth and exploration. It Can Let You Be Yourself: A strong self-worth fosters authenticity, enabling you to focus on what truly matters and find happiness. 🌬️ If your motivation has left the building, you’re not alone! According to Gallup, about 80% of employees worldwide are not engaged or actively disengaged at work. Here are some tips to help you regain that motivation: Create Achievable Goals: Set manageable goals to boost your confidence and get moving. Keep Track of Progress: Monitor your achievements to fuel your desire to stay on course. Don’t Force It: If motivation is low, take a break. A short walk or coffee can refresh your mind. Take Time Off: Use your paid time off to rest and recharge. You’ve earned it! Ask for Help: Reach out to friends, family, or professionals for support and ideas. Feeling disinterested at work doesn’t mean you can’t turn things around! Small changes can lead to big benefits. Ready to find your motivation? Read more about it here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/giWSnvKy 💪✨

🌿 On October 2, the AISES Board of Directors had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with Tamōx Talōm, a local nonprofit in San Antonio dedicated to helping the Indigenous community reconnect with traditional plants and practices. 🌱✨ Through planting, harvesting, and preparing food and medicines, they’re preserving vital cultural knowledge and fostering community resilience. By sharing their story, we hope to inspire others to engage with and support similar initiatives. 💚 The team also attended the AISES National Conference, where they connected with others passionate about Indigenous cultural revitalization. Together, we can nurture our roots and build a thriving future! 🌎🤝 📷: Montoya Whiteman #NativesInSTEM #AISES #IndigenousCulture #TamōxTalōm #CommunityConnection #CulturalRevitalization
