Contact fatigue strength: During use, the support rollers are always in rolling contact with the working rollers or the intermediate rollers, which is very easy to produce work hardening. The support rollers are required to have high contact fatigue strength, reasonable stress state and crack propagation resistance. Wear resistance: The middle part of the support roller will form a concave shape due to wear, and the contact stress at both ends of the roller body will increase sharply, resulting in peeling. Therefore, the rollers are required to have excellent wear resistance to delay and reduce the formation of concave roller shapes. Roll neck strength: The support rollers have a long service life, and the roll necks are subjected to alternating bending stress for a long time. How to Connect a Flange Yoke to a Sleeve Yoke ? Tools and materials: ✅ Double-head bolt ✅Wrench 🔧 or plier ✅Torque wrench Steps 1️⃣ Insert the double-head bolt. Pass the double-head bolt through the holes in the shaft sleeve . 2️⃣ Align the yokes. Align the yokes so that the holes in the flange yoke and sleeve yoke with bolts are lined up . 3️⃣ Thread the nuts🔩 onto the bolt. Thread the nuts onto the bolt by hand until they are snug . 4️⃣ Tighten the nuts. Use a wrench or socket to tighten the nuts evenly⚙️. 5️⃣ Check for alignment. In piercing and cutting operations there are five principal failure mechanisms for piercing punch failures . • Wear, abrasive or adhesive, related to the operation, the work material and the friction forces due to sliding contact between the tool and the work material. • Plastic deformation, which appears when the operating stress level exceeds the compressive yield strength (hardness) of the tool material. • Chipping, which is a result of high working stresses compared to the fatigue strength of the tool material. • Total cracking, which is a result of high working stresses compared to the fracture toughness of the tool material. • Galling , which is a result of heavy friction forces due to the sliding contact and the adhesive nature of the work material.
