It’s undeniable that the environment plays a vital role in the learning process. One often overlooked aspect of the environment is the acoustics in educational facilities. In order to achieve this, it's imperative that designers, architects and acoustic consultants actively collaborate as the most effective projects are those that are ergonomically designed, balancing both aesthetic and acoustical properties. The importance of acoustic comfort has been highlighted in numerous studies, research, and countless personal experiences. We are sure you can recall a time when you've been in an acoustically challenging environment - it's something that truly stands out! On the flip side, good acoustical environments often go unnoticed, because they effortlessly blend into our experiences. By working together, architects, designers and acoustic consultants can create spaces that not only look good but sound good too. Let's move beyond mere aesthetics and consider the auditory environment. #makingspacesmatter #interiordesign #builtenvironment

Today is a #bigday for the #builtenvironment, being #WorldArchitectureDay and #WorldHabitatDay celebrating #architecture and focusing on #sustainable #urbandevelopment. The future of architecture must incorporate sustainability that benefits both #people and #theplanet; Measures can include #optimisedbuildingorientation, #efficientrationdesign, #naturalventilation including #ventilationlouvres and #passivecooling and #passivesolardesign including #solarshading. These methods of #sustainbaleliving are especially vital in #urban areas where the #heatislandeffect is prevalent. Solinear offers #bespoke #louvresolutions that can help create more sustainable, #energyefficient architecture whether it be a sympathetic #retrofit for an #architecturalicon or for a #dynamic #newbuild. Helping you understand how buildings sound ~through speaking, writing, teaching, testing and consulting
📢 LEED v5 Public comment period #2 is now open (link in comments). Unfortunately, the Sound Environment option (1-2 points) in the Occupant Experience (IEQ) section became no more defined or quantifiable. The requirements are basically: 1. Think about what the acoustic requirements should be. (1 point) 2. Show the requirements will be (or were) met somehow. (1 point) Compare this to the Thermal Environment option that says, "Design indoor occupied spaces to meet the requirements of ASHRAE Standard 55–2023." This 2nd public comment period ends Oct 28th. I know LEED received our many comments about acoustics during the last round. Any ideas? #buildings #LEED #architecturaldesign #interiordesigner #engineers #wellbeing #contractors

Love and architecture can be deeply connected, as the words express the beauty of design and dedication to creativity. Here are some phrases that combine love and architecture: 1. **“In every architectural design, there is a love story told with lines and shapes.”** 2. **“Architecture is the art of love embodied in brick and concrete.”** 3. **“Every building is a love ode to open spaces and beautiful ideas.”** 4. **“Love lies in the minute details of every creative architectural design.”** 5. **“Every corner and every curve in architecture is a beat from the architect’s heart.”** 6. **“The architect is a poet who transforms words into magnificent structures.”** 7. **“Architecture is music played on a palette of colors and materials.”** 8. **“With love we build, and with creativity we soar.”** 9. **Love is the foundation on which every architectural design is built

🔨 Transformation from the inside: teamwork and precision at its best. Every project starts with a vision, but it’s the close collaboration between architects and construction professionals that turns that vision into reality. The bare structure of the building is like a blank canvas, ready to be shaped through careful, detailed work, combining both technical and aesthetic ideas. 📐 This stage is important not only for architects but for all teams involved in making the project a success: from engineers and interior designers to materials suppliers. Together, we create not just a strong building, but a harmonious space that will last for years. 🔗 Follow our progress – we’ll continue sharing updates as the project moves towards completion! #Architecture #ConstructionProject #Teamwork #Engineering #Renovation #SpaceCreation #Progress

8moThanks for sharing, Aivaras. All important factors to consider when choosing acoustical products. Sound pressure levels and noise isolation are too big to ignore.
