Does GenAI really boost performance in consulting?   We answered that question by testing in on 758 BCGers in a study with Harvard Business School and others.   The results where interesting: when Using GenAI for creative ideation elevated the performance of BCG consultants by as much as 40% - see chart below. However, when used for business problem-solving, GenAI actually lowered their performance.   What are the implications of this? GenAI has the potential to supercharge our performance - however, some tasks still remain uniquely suited for human capabilities.
