"Happy Engineers Week and Presidents Day from AIX Group! As we celebrate the achievements of engineers, we're reminded of the legacy of George Washington, who was not only a founding father but also a skilled engineer. His work and leadership inspire us as we continue to provide construction management and civil engineering services, shaping the future of infrastructure. Let's also take this time to encourage and support the next generation of engineers. Together, we can inspire young minds to pursue careers in engineering and build a better future. #EngineersWeek #PresidentsDay #AIXGroup #EngineeringLegacy #FutureEngineers"

From the micro to the macro, Fariborz Maseeh's transformational investment has set the stage for Texas Engineers to confront the world's most critical problems. In what he calls "engineering of the big," Maseeh believes that engineers must tackle important societal problems, and it takes an educational culture of big-picture thinking and innovation to do that. Read about Maseeh's investment in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering, and courageous engineers.

The use of rigid inclusions has evolved significantly over the last 20 years, as the engineering community has accepted them, but through this evolution, their purpose has changed. Evaluating that purpose and the potential risk (or lack thereof) associated with a project is key to optimizing the benefit of #RigidInclusions. Read more about it in this Deep Foundations magazine article written by Menard USA Director of Engineering, Sonia Sorabella Swift, P.E.: https://lnkd.in/eU8x-NUv #WhySettle #GroundImprovement #GeotechnicalEngineering

Just a few of my favorite things: traffic and transit engineering, high school STEM outreach, and a construction site visit!
On March 11, our Phoenix office welcomed nine high school students from the Be a Leader Career Shadow Day program. The students attended a lunch-and-learn session on civil engineering followed by a safety briefing. They also explored Valley Metro RPTA’s South-Central Light Rail project which AECOM performed the final design and is currently under construction. The students saw firsthand how transit engineering plans are translated to real-life construction and had a rare opportunity to witness the various stages of construction of the light rail tracks and station platforms. This is the second year that our team has participated in the Be a Leader Career Shadow Day program, and we are looking forward to hosting more program events in the future! We would like to thank Tyler Besch for sponsoring this event, and Janet Yeow, Cedric Jackson, and Amanda Minutello for coordinating this fun-filled day of learning! At AECOM, we are committed to supporting initiatives that encourage students to pursue STEM careers. #AECOM #Transportation #Transit #Engineering #STEM #SustainableLegacies
