SAFETY PROMOTION What happens when you introduce a new role, objective or modus operandi but you fail to offer adequate, appropriate or necessary TRAINING, Awareness and Utilisation Methods to staff? It is always crucial to train & create awareness of the new way of doing things in order to improve efficiency, accuracy as well as reliability in service delivery. Otherwise, your staff will have the best of the latest technology, best equipment available with them but still the overall output will be questionable and will not be satisfactory. In terms of SAFETY, this touches on the 4th Pillar of SMS 'SAFETY PROMOTION'. This Pillar involves Training, Communication and other activities that create a positive safety culture in an organisation. It also touches on Management of Change where something new is introduced into overall operations. There's absolutely no need to provide staff with all necessary resources, equipment and materials but not create awareness through training on how to use/utilize them in order to improve on the overall service delivery within an organisation. On November 4 2023, I proudly took part in the K3 training trip (Building a Simple Behavior-Based Safety Program). This invaluable experience has equipped me with important knowledge and skills to uphold a safe culture in shaping the environment (obey, guide, respect, care), people (knowledge, skills, abilities, personality) and good behavior. Safety is the No. 1 concern 1 with the danger of slipping, ending and falling. These dangers cause accidents, ranging from minor pain to harm and even death When an incident occurs and a worker is injured, this can cause a loss of productivity that has a significant impact on the business. Because experienced workers must be replaced by less experienced workers. In observation, eliminating critical behavior to achieve safety performance, communicating behavior and its application correctly, observing worker behavior, recording and collecting observation data, analyzing data and drawing conclusions, and communicating observation data and analysis results to all employees. #K3 #Safetyfirst #HSSE #FutureLeaderProgramme
