I help parents and teachers transform intense behaviors in children. | Nurtured Heart Advanced Trainer ❤️
Lazer is bullied until his grandfather shares a winning strategy to help him respond to the bullies. This is my newest childrens' book... coming soon! My passion is helping parents and educators proactively support children in developing inner strength and resiliance. That's why: I work with parents. I work with educators. I work with children. I write children's books I created an online training. Sometimes children don't want therapy. Sometimes parents don't have the time to go to a workshop. In schools, it's challenging to find times that the teachers are all off at the same time, to give them training and supporting. I am a creator and innovator of simple and accessible mental health tools that propel POWERFUL transformation for children. I'm ready to share with the world. Simple ideas with powerful results. Because we are all first responders in mental health. Agree? #mentalhealth #children #therapy

I am very proud to be featured in this month's Secondary School edition of The Link Magazine, published by our friends at Speech Link Multimedia. The article explores the risks and the benefits of social media and online communities, in relation to SEND students' mental health. Among other things, I talk about the importance of structured digital spaces and moderation to create a supportive environment for SEND students. If you do not have access to the magazine, you can read the article on their website - link in the comments below 👇 #SEND #MentalHealth #SocialMedia #Education Sorted Mental Health

🏪🙃"Stop your labeling, we are not supermarket items." ✅ The labelling process starts as young as primary school. Problem children are sent for counselling. ☝️ To me, 'counselling' has always been a negative term. 🌞 Not because I needed counselling, but because I witnessed children, my peers in my school days deteriorate under systems that, without a human touch, classify them as if they are lower beings. ❣️ It's disheartening to see those who benefit from these systems continue to label others, establishing deeper societal hierarchies. ☝️ We can begin by removing the term 'counselling.' It reinforces the idea that children or adults are mentally ill. The persistence of this term is unfortunate. 📊 Feedback from others confirms that the labels used by mental health counselors, based on academic classifications, often worsen the conditions of patients. 🔍 This observation highlights the urgent need for a shift in mindset and curriculum. 🙏 It's crucial to rethink how we approach mental health, emphasizing empathy and individual understanding over rigid classification. Change starts with recognizing the impact of our words and systems on those they are meant to help. #MentalHealthAwareness #StopLabeling #EmpathyInEducation #ChangeTheSystem #HumanTouch #MentalHealthReform #EducationReform #Empowerment #SupportNotLabels #EndStigma #MentalHealthMatters I am Mar Vin Foo 🌿, speaking for the underserved is my business too. Thank you for building a cohesive society through constant transformations. P.S: We don't have to feel helpless as victims or as observers. We can step up to help and talk about such conversations tactfully. 😊 If you think I am a quack? Check out this interesting article that resonates with my post. https://lnkd.in/gx6FmwH5
